Luke 19:35

And they brought him to Jesus
That is, the colt:

and they cast their garments upon the colt;
that is, the disciples, who brought him to Jesus; the Persic version here, as in ( Matthew 21:7 ) renders it very wrongly, "Jesus put his own garment on its back, and sat on it"; it follows,

and they set Jesus thereon;
in order to ride upon him, as he did to Jerusalem.

33 And [as] they were untying the colt, its owners said to them, 'Why are you untying the colt?'
34 So they said, 'The Lord has need of it.'
35 And they brought it to Jesus, and throwing their cloaks on the colt, they put Jesus [on it].
36 And [as] he was going along, they were spreading out their cloaks on the road.
37 Now [as] he was drawing near by this time to the descent from the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of the disciples began rejoicing to praise God with a loud voice for all the miracles that they had seen,
