Deuteronomy 2:18

Thou art to pass over through Ar
That is, over the river Arnon, by the city Ar of Moab, which was situated by it; see ( Deuteronomy 2:9 ) and so Moses and the people of Israel were to pass along by that,

and by the coast of Moab;
for they were not admitted to enter the land and pass through it; only to travel on the borders of it, and that they were to begin to do this day; the day the Lord spake to Moses.

16 Lorsque tous les hommes de guerre eurent disparu par la mort du milieu du peuple,
17 l'Eternel me parla, et dit:
18 Tu passeras aujourd'hui la frontière de Moab, à Ar,
19 et tu approcheras des enfants d'Ammon. Ne les attaque pas, et ne t'engage pas dans un combat avec eux; car je ne te donnerai rien à posséder dans le pays des enfants d'Ammon: c'est aux enfants de Lot que je l'ai donné en propriété.
20 Ce pays passait aussi pour un pays de Rephaïm; des Rephaïm y habitaient auparavant, et les Ammonites les appelaient Zamzummim:
