Leviticus 14:54 Meaning and Commentary

Leviticus 14:54

This [is] the law for all manner of plague of leprosy, and
scall.
] The leprosy in general in the bodies of men, and of that in particular which was on the head and beard, and went by the name of the scall, ( Leviticus 13:29-37 ) . In ( Leviticus 14:54-56 ) is a recapitulation of the several laws and rules relating to leprosy of all kinds, delivered in this and the preceding chapter.

52 Thus he shall cleanse the house with the blood of the bird, and with the fresh water, and with the living bird, and with the cedarwood and hyssop and crimson yarn;
53 and he shall let the living bird go out of the city into the open field; so he shall make atonement for the house, and it shall be clean.
54 This is the ritual for any leprous disease: for an itch,
55 for leprous diseases in clothing and houses,
56 and for a swelling or an eruption or a spot,
