35 Then they brought it to Jesus; and after throwing their cloaks on the colt, they set Jesus on it.

Luke 19:35

And they brought him to Jesus
That is, the colt:

and they cast their garments upon the colt;
that is, the disciples, who brought him to Jesus; the Persic version here, as in ( Matthew 21:7 ) renders it very wrongly, "Jesus put his own garment on its back, and sat on it"; it follows,

and they set Jesus thereon;
in order to ride upon him, as he did to Jerusalem.

33 As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, "Why are you untying the colt?"
34 They said, "The Lord needs it."
35 Then they brought it to Jesus; and after throwing their cloaks on the colt, they set Jesus on it.
36 As he rode along, people kept spreading their cloaks on the road.
37 As he was now approaching the path down from the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to praise God joyfully with a loud voice for all the deeds of power that they had seen,
