1 Chronicles 5:24

And these were the heads of the house of their fathers
Some of the principal men of this half tribe:

even Epher, and Ishi, and Eliel, and Azriel, and Jeremiah, and
Hodaviah, and Jahdiel;
but of none of these we read elsewhere, excepting Hepher and Azriel, ( Numbers 26:31 Numbers 26:32 )

mighty men of valour, famous men, and heads of the house of their
fathers;
men that obtained a name for their strength, courage, and valour, and military exploits, and were the chiefs of the families in this half tribe, and by whom they were denominated; so from Hepher were the family of the Hepherites, and from Azriel the family of the Azrielites, as in the place before quoted.

22 Muchos de los agarenos murieron en la batalla porque Dios luchaba contra ellos. Los habitantes de Rubén, Gad y Manasés vivieron en su tierra hasta que fueron llevados al destierro.

23 La media tribu de Manasés era muy grande y se extendió por la tierra desde Basán hasta Baal-hermón, Senir y el monte Hermón.

24 Estos fueron los jefes de sus clanes: Efer,
Isi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremías, Hodavías y Jahdiel. Estos hombres tuvieron gran fama como guerreros poderosos y jefes de sus clanes.

25 Sin embargo, estas tribus fueron infieles al Dios de sus antepasados. Adoraron a los dioses de las naciones que Dios había destruido.

26 Por eso el Dios de Israel hizo que el rey Pul de Asiria (también conocido como Tiglat-pileser) invadiera la tierra y se llevara cautivos a la tribu de Rubén, a la tribu de Gad y a la media tribu de Manasés. Los asirios los desterraron y los llevaron a Halaj, a Habor, a Hara y al río Gozán, donde se encuentran hasta el día de hoy.
