14 Aunque no se quitaron los santuarios paganos, el corazón de Asa se mantuvo totalmente fiel al Señor
durante toda su vida.

1 Kings 15:14

But the high places were not removed
That is, such as had been used for the worship of God, before the temple was built, which yet now should have been removed, since sacrifice was now only to be offered there; but he might think they were still lawful, or the people had such an opinion of them, that it was difficult and dangerous to attempt to remove them; otherwise high places for idolatry were removed by him, ( 2 Chronicles 14:3 ) ,

nevertheless, Asa's heart was perfect all his days;
he was sincere in the worship of God, and did everything to the best of his knowledge and capacity for restoring true religion, and destroying idolatry.

12 Expulsó de la tierra a los prostitutos y prostitutas de los santuarios paganos, y se deshizo de todos los ídolos
que habían hecho sus antepasados.

13 Hasta quitó a su abuela Maaca de su puesto de reina madre, porque ella había hecho un poste obsceno dedicado a la diosa Asera. Derribó el poste obsceno y lo quemó en el valle de Cedrón.

14 Aunque no se quitaron los santuarios paganos, el corazón de Asa se mantuvo totalmente fiel al Señor
durante toda su vida.

15 Llevó al templo del Señor
la plata, el oro y los diversos objetos que él y su padre habían dedicado.

16 Hubo guerra constante entre Asa, rey de Judá, y Baasa, rey de Israel.
