9 Durante el cuarto a帽o del reinado de Ezequ铆as, que era el s茅ptimo a帽o del reinado de Oseas en Israel, Salmanasar, rey de Asiria, atac贸 la ciudad de Samaria y comenz贸 a sitiarla.
10 Tres a帽os despu茅s, durante el sexto a帽o del reinado de Ezequ铆as y el noveno a帽o del reinado de Oseas en Israel, Samaria cay贸.
11 En ese tiempo, el rey de Asiria desterr贸 a los israelitas a Asiria y los ubic贸 en colonias en la regi贸n de Halah, en Goz谩n junto a la ribera del r铆o Habor, y en las ciudades de los medos.
12 Pues ellos se negaron a escuchar al Se帽or
su Dios y a obedecerlo. En cambio, violaron su pacto, es decir, todas las leyes que Mois茅s, siervo del Se帽or
, les hab铆a ordenado que obedecieran.

INTRODUCTION TO 2 KINGS 18

This chapter begins with the good reign of Hezekiah king of Judah, the reformation he made in the kingdom, and the prosperity that attended him when Israel was carried captive, 2Ki 18:1-12 and gives an account of the siege of Jerusalem by the king of Assyria, and of the distress Hezekiah was in, and the hard measures he was obliged to submit unto, 2Ki 18:13-18 and of the reviling and blasphemous speech of Rabshakeh, one of the generals of the king of Assyria, urging the Jews to a revolt from their king, 2Ki 18:19-37.
