9 —¿De dónde vienes? —le preguntó Micaía.

—Soy un levita de Belén de Judá, y busco un lugar para vivir.

Judges 17:9

And Micah said unto him, whence comest thou?
&c.] For as he might ask for a meal, or for a night's lodging, it was but natural to put such a question to him, as from whence he came, and what was his business in these parts? or whither he was going?

and he said unto him, I am a Levite of Bethlehemjudah;
the tribe he was of was Levi, and so a Levite by tribe and office, and the place he came last from, and where he had sojourned awhile, was Bethlehem, a city in the tribe of Judah:

and I go to sojourn where I may find a place;
the most convenient to abide in, where he could get a livelihood.

7 Cierto día llegó a la región un joven levita que vivía en Belén de Judá.

8 Había salido de Belén en busca de otro lugar donde vivir y, viajando, llegó a la zona montañosa de Efraín. Mientras estaba de paso, se detuvo por casualidad en la casa de Micaía.

9 —¿De dónde vienes? —le preguntó Micaía.
Él contestó:
—Soy un levita de Belén de Judá, y busco un lugar para vivir.

10 —Quédate aquí, conmigo —le dijo Micaía—, y podrás ser un padre y sacerdote para mí. Te daré diez piezas
de plata al año, además de una muda de ropa y comida.

11 El joven levita aceptó y pasó a ser como uno de los hijos de Micaía.
