Judges 8:29

And Jerubbaal the son of Joash
That is, Gideon, Jerubbaal being another name of his; see ( Judges 6:32 ) ( 7:1 ) went and dwelt in his own house; which was at Ophrah, as appears from ( Judges 9:5 ) the war being ended, he disbanded his army, and retired to his own house; not that he lived altogether a private life there, but as a judge in Israel.

27 Entonces Gedeón hizo un efod sagrado con el oro y lo puso en Ofra, su pueblo natal. Pero pronto todos los israelitas se prostituyeron al rendir culto a ese efod, el cual se convirtió en una trampa para Gedeón y su familia.
28 Esa es la historia de cómo el pueblo de Israel derrotó a Madián, y este nunca se recuperó. Y hubo paz en la tierra durante el resto de la vida de Gedeón, unos cuarenta años más.
29 Luego Gedeón,
hijo de Joás, volvió a su casa.
30 Le nacieron setenta hijos varones, porque tuvo muchas esposas.
31 Además tuvo una concubina en Siquem que le dio un hijo, a quien él llamó Abimelec.
