Jonás 3:1-4

1 Jonás va a Nínive
El Señor
habló por segunda vez a Jonás:

2 «Levántate y ve a la gran ciudad de Nínive y entrega el mensaje que te he dado».

3 Esta vez Jonás obedeció el mandato del Señor
y fue a Nínive, una ciudad tan grande que tomaba tres días recorrerla toda.

4 El día que Jonás entró en la ciudad, proclamó a la multitud: «Dentro de cuarenta días Nínive será destruida».

INTRODUCTION TO JONAH 3

This chapter gives an account of the renewal of Jonah's message to Nineveh, and of his faithful execution of it, Jon 3:1-4; and of the fruit and effect of it, the conversion of the Ninevites, their faith in God, repentance of their sins, and reformation from them, Jon 3:5-9; and of God's approbation thereof, by revoking the sentence he had pronounced upon them, Jon 3:10.
