26 Que sean humillados y avergonzados
los que se alegran de mis dificultades;
que sean cubiertos de vergüenza y de deshonra
los que triunfan sobre mí.

Psalms 35:26

Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together
In a body, as one man; as they gathered together against him, ( Psalms 35:15 ) ; so he entreats they might together be brought to shame and confusion, they not being able to execute their designs; their schemes being broken, their counsels defeated, and they exposed to contempt;

that rejoice at mine hurt;
the same with his adversity, or halting, ( Psalms 35:15 ) ;

let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify [themselves]
against me;
let them be covered with it, as a man is with a garment; who magnified themselves, opened their mouths in great swelling words of vanity against him, vaunted and bragged over him, as in their power, and at their will.

24 Declárame inocente, oh Señor
mi Dios, porque tú haces justicia;
no permitas que mis enemigos se rían de mí en mis dificultades.

25 No les permitas decir: «¡Miren, conseguimos lo que queríamos!
¡Ahora lo comeremos vivo!».

26 Que sean humillados y avergonzados
los que se alegran de mis dificultades;
que sean cubiertos de vergüenza y de deshonra
los que triunfan sobre mí.

27 Pero dales mucha alegría a los que vinieron a defenderme;
que todo el tiempo digan: «¡Grande es el Señor
,
quien se deleita en bendecir a su siervo con paz!».

28 Entonces proclamaré tu justicia
y te alabaré todo el día.
