1 Samuel 22:12

And Saul said, hear now, thou son of Ahitub
The charge exhibited against him; in contempt of him, he does not so much as call him by his name, nor give him the title of his office, as high priest; though he was the second person in the kingdom, and to whose office a few years ago the civil government was annexed: and he answered, here I [am], my lord;
giving due honour to Saul, though he received none from him, and appearing with great boldness, as having a clear conscience, and so ready to hear what was to be said unto him.

10 Ajimélec consultó al SEÑOR por David y le dio provisiones, y hasta le entregó la espada de Goliat.

11 Entonces el rey mandó a llamar al sacerdote Ajimélec hijo de Ajitob, y a todos sus parientes, que eran sacerdotes en Nob. Cuando llegaron,

12 Saúl le dijo:—Escucha, hijo de Ajitob.—Diga, mi señor —respondió Ajimélec.

13 —¿Por qué tú y el hijo de Isaí conspiran contra mí? —le reclamó Saúl—. Le diste comida y una espada. También consultaste a Dios por él para que se subleve y me aceche, como en realidad está pasando.

14 Ajimélec le respondió al rey:—¿Quién entre todos los oficiales del rey es tan fiel como su yerno David, jefe de la guardia real y respetado en el palacio?
