Deuteronomy 29:3

The great temptations which thine eyes have seen
Or trials, the ten plagues which tried the Egyptians, whether they would let Israel go; and tried the Israelites, whether they would believe in the Lord, and trust in his almighty power to deliver them:

the signs and those great miracles:
as the said plagues were such as were beyond the power of nature to produce, and which only Omnipotence could really effect.

1 Estos son los términos del pacto que, por orden del SEÑOR, hizo Moisés en Moab con los israelitas, además del pacto que ya había hecho con ellos en Horeb.

2 Moisés convocó a todos los israelitas y les dijo:«Ustedes vieron todo lo que el SEÑOR hizo en Egipto con el faraón y sus funcionarios, y con todo su país.

3 Con sus propios ojos vieron aquellas grandes pruebas, señales y maravillas.

4 Pero hasta este día el SEÑOR no les ha dado mente para entender, ni ojos para ver, ni oídos para oír.

5 Durante los cuarenta años que los guié a través del desierto, no se les desgastó la ropa ni el calzado.
