Genesis 32:27

And he said unto him, what [is] thy name?
&c.] Which question is put, not as being ignorant of it, but in order to take occasion from it, and the change of it, to show that he had granted his request, and had blessed him, and would yet more and more: and he said, Jacob;
the name given him at his birth, and by which he had always been called, and therefore tells it him at once, not staying to ask the reason of the question.

25 Cuando ese hombre se dio cuenta de que no pod铆a vencer a Jacob, lo toc贸 en la coyuntura de la cadera, y esta se le disloc贸 mientras luchaban.
26 Entonces el hombre le dijo:鈥斅u茅ltame, que ya est谩 por amanecer!鈥斅o te soltar茅 hasta que me bendigas! 鈥攔espondi贸 Jacob.
27 鈥斅緾贸mo te llamas? 鈥攍e pregunt贸 el hombre.鈥擬e llamo Jacob 鈥攔espondi贸.
28 Entonces el hombre le dijo:鈥擸a no te llamar谩s Jacob, sino Israel, porque has luchado con Dios y con los hombres, y has vencido.
29 鈥擸 t煤, 驴c贸mo te llamas? 鈥攍e pregunt贸 Jacob.鈥斅縋or qu茅 preguntas c贸mo me llamo? 鈥攍e respondi贸 el hombre.Y en ese mismo lugar lo bendijo.
