Luke 20:8

And Jesus said unto them
Since they would not give him a direct answer to his question:

neither tell I you by what authority I do these things;
nor was there any need of it; they might easily perceive by what he had said, from whence he professed to have received his authority, from God, and not men; (See Gill on Matthew 21:27).

6 Pero si decimos: “De la tierra”, todo el pueblo nos apedreará, porque están convencidos de que Juan era un profeta».Así que le respondieron:
7 —No sabemos de dónde era.
8 —Pues yo tampoco les voy a decir con qué autoridad hago esto.
9 Pasó luego a contarle a la gente esta parábola:—Un hombre plantó un viñedo, se lo arrendó a unos labradores y se fue de viaje por largo tiempo.
10 Llegada la cosecha, mandó un siervo a los labradores para que le dieran parte de la cosecha. Pero los labradores lo golpearon y lo despidieron con las manos vacías.
