1 Sādàn qǐlai gōngjī Yǐsèliè rén , jīdòng Dàwèi shǔ diǎn tāmen .
1 Satan rose up against Israel and incited David to take a census of Israel.
2 Dàwèi jiù fēnfu Yuēyē hé mín zhōng de shǒulǐng shuō , nǐmen qù shǔ diǎn Yǐsèliè rén , cóng Bièshìbā zhídào dàn , huí lái gàosu wǒ , wǒ hǎo zhīdào tāmende shùmù .
2 So David said to Joab and the commanders of the troops, “Go and count the Israelites from Beersheba to Dan. Then report back to me so that I may know how many there are.”
3 Yuē yē shuō , yuàn Yēhéhuá shǐ tāde bǎixìng bǐ xiànzaì jiā zēng bǎi beì . wǒ zhǔ wǒ wáng a , tāmen bù dōu shì nǐde púrén ma . wǒ zhǔ wèihé fēnfu hxíng zhè shì , wèihé shǐ Yǐsèliè rén xiàn zaì zuì lǐ ne .
3 But Joab replied, “May the LORD multiply his troops a hundred times over. My lord the king, are they not all my lord’s subjects? Why does my lord want to do this? Why should he bring guilt on Israel?”
4 Dàn wáng de mìnglìng shēng guō Yuēyē . Yuēyē jiù chū qù , zǒu biàn Yǐsèliè dì , huí dào Yēlùsǎlĕng ,
4 The king’s word, however, overruled Joab; so Joab left and went throughout Israel and then came back to Jerusalem.
5 Jiāng bǎixìng de zǒng shǔ zòu gào Dàwèi , Yǐsèliè rén ná dāo de yǒu yī bǎi yī shí wàn . Yóudà rén ná dāo de yǒu sì shí qī wàn .
5 Joab reported the number of the fighting men to David: In all Israel there were one million one hundred thousand men who could handle a sword, including four hundred and seventy thousand in Judah.
6 Wéiyǒu Lìwèi rén hé Biànyǎmǐn rén méiyǒu shǔ zaì qízhōng , yīnwei Yuēyē yànwù wáng de zhè mìnglìng .
6 But Joab did not include Levi and Benjamin in the numbering, because the king’s command was repulsive to him.
7 Shén bù xǐyuè zhè shǔ diǎn bǎixìng de shì , biàn jiàng zāi gĕi Yǐsèliè rén .
7 This command was also evil in the sight of God; so he punished Israel.
8 Dàwèi dǎogào shén shuō , wǒ xíng zhè shì dà yǒu zuì le . xiànzaì qiú nǐ chúdiào púrén de zuìniè , yīn wǒ suǒ xíng de shén shì yúmeì .
8 Then David said to God, “I have sinned greatly by doing this. Now, I beg you, take away the guilt of your servant. I have done a very foolish thing.”
9 Yēhéhuá fēnfu Dàwèi de xiān jiàn Jiādé shuō ,
9 The LORD said to Gad, David’s seer,
10 Nǐ qù gàosu Dàwèi shuō , Yēhéhuá rúcǐ shuō , wǒ yǒu sān yàng zāi , suí nǐ xuǎnzé yíyàng , wǒ hǎo jiàng yǔ nǐ .
10 “Go and tell David, ‘This is what the LORD says: I am giving you three options. Choose one of them for me to carry out against you.’ ”
11 Yúshì , Jiādé lái jiàn Dàwèi , duì tā shuō , Yēhéhuá rúcǐ shuō , nǐ kĕyǐ suíyì xuǎnzé ,
11 So Gad went to David and said to him, “This is what the LORD says: ‘Take your choice:
12 Huò sān nián de jīhuāng . huò baì zaì nǐ dírén miànqián , beì dírén de dāo zhuī shā sān gè yuè . huò zaì nǐ guó zhōng yǒu Yēhéhuá de dāo , jiù shì sān rì de wēnyì , Yēhéhuá de shǐzhĕ zaì Yǐsèliè de sì jìng shīxíng huǐmiè . xiànzaì nǐ yào xiǎng yī xiǎng , wǒ hǎo huí fù nà chāi wǒ lái de .
12 three years of famine, three months of being swept away before your enemies, with their swords overtaking you, or three days of the sword of the LORD—days of plague in the land, with the angel of the LORD ravaging every part of Israel.’ Now then, decide how I should answer the one who sent me.”
13 Dàwèi duì Jiādé shuō , wǒ shén wèi nán . wǒ yuàn luō zaì Yēhéhuá de shǒu lǐ , yīnwei tā yǒu fēngshèng de liánmǐn . wǒ bù yuàn luō zaì rén de shǒu lǐ .
13 David said to Gad, “I am in deep distress. Let me fall into the hands of the LORD, for his mercy is very great; but do not let me fall into human hands.”
14 Yúshì , Yēhéhuá jiàng wēnyì yǔ Yǐsèliè rén , Yǐsèliè rén jiù sǐ le qī wàn .
14 So the LORD sent a plague on Israel, and seventy thousand men of Israel fell dead.
15 Shén chāiqiǎn shǐzhĕ qù miè Yēlùsǎlĕng , gāng yào miè de shíhou , Yēhéhuá kànjian hòuhuǐ , jiù bù jiàng zhè zāi le , fēnfu miè chéng de tiānshǐ shuō , gòu le , zhù shǒu ba . nàshí , Yēhéhuá de shǐzhĕ zhàn zaì Yēbùsīrén a ĕrnán de hécháng nàli .
15 And God sent an angel to destroy Jerusalem. But as the angel was doing so, the LORD saw it and relented concerning the disaster and said to the angel who was destroying the people, “Enough! Withdraw your hand.” The angel of the LORD was then standing at the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.
16 Dàwèi jǔmù , kànjian Yēhéhuá de shǐzhĕ zhàn zaì tiāndì jiān , shǒu lǐ yǒu bá chūlai de dāo , shēn zaì Yēlùsǎlĕng yǐshàng . Dàwèi hé zhǎnglǎo dōu shēn chuān má yī , miàn fú yú dì .
16 David looked up and saw the angel of the LORD standing between heaven and earth, with a drawn sword in his hand extended over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders, clothed in sackcloth, fell facedown.
17 Dàwèi dǎogào shén shuō , fēnfu shǔ diǎn bǎixìng de bú shì wǒ ma . wǒ fàn le zuì , xíng le è , dàn zhè qún yáng zuò le shénme ne . yuàn Yēhéhuá wǒ shén de shǒu gōngjī wǒ hé wǒde fù jiā , búyào gōngjī nǐde mín , jiàng wēnyì yǔ tāmen .
17 David said to God, “Was it not I who ordered the fighting men to be counted? I, the shepherd, have sinned and done wrong. These are but sheep. What have they done? LORD my God, let your hand fall on me and my family, but do not let this plague remain on your people.”
18 Yēhéhuá de shǐzhĕ fēnfu Jiādé qù gàosu Dàwèi , jiào tā shàng qù , zaì Yēbùsīrén a ĕrnán de hécháng shàng wèi Yēhéhuá zhú yī zuò tán .
18 Then the angel of the LORD ordered Gad to tell David to go up and build an altar to the LORD on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.
19 Dàwèi jiù zhào zhe Jiādé fèng Yēhéhuá míng suǒ shuō de huà shàng qù le .
19 So David went up in obedience to the word that Gad had spoken in the name of the LORD.
20 Nàshí a ĕrnán zhēng dá maìzi , huí tóu kànjian tiānshǐ , jiù hé tā sì gè érzi dōu cáng qǐlai le .
20 While Araunah was threshing wheat, he turned and saw the angel; his four sons who were with him hid themselves.
21 Dàwèi dào le a ĕrnán nàli , a ĕrnán kànjian Dàwèi , jiù cóng hécháng shàng chū qù , liǎn fú yú dì , xiàng tā xià baì .
21 Then David approached, and when Araunah looked and saw him, he left the threshing floor and bowed down before David with his face to the ground.
22 Dàwèi duì a ĕrnán shuō , nǐ jiāng zhè hécháng yǔ xiānglián zhī dì maì gĕi wǒ , wǒ bì gĕi nǐ zú jià , wǒ hǎo zaì qí shàng wèi Yēhéhuá zhú yī zuò tán , shǐ mínjiān de wēnyì zhǐ zhù .
22 David said to him, “Let me have the site of your threshing floor so I can build an altar to the LORD, that the plague on the people may be stopped. Sell it to me at the full price.”
23 A Ěr nán duì Dàwèi shuō , nǐ kĕyǐ yòng zhè hécháng , yuàn wǒ zhǔ wǒ wáng zhào nǐ suǒ xǐyuè de qù xíng . wǒ yĕ jiāng niú gĕi nǐ zuò Fánjì , bǎ dá liáng de qìjù dāng chái shāo , ná maìzi zuò sù jì . zhèxie wǒ dōu sòng gĕi nǐ .
23 Araunah said to David, “Take it! Let my lord the king do whatever pleases him. Look, I will give the oxen for the burnt offerings, the threshing sledges for the wood, and the wheat for the grain offering. I will give all this.”
24 Dàwèi wáng duì a ĕrnán shuō , bù rán . wǒ bìyào yòng zú jià xiàng nǐ mǎi . wǒ búyòng nǐde wù xiàn gĕi Yēhéhuá , yĕ búyòng bái dé zhī wù xiàn wèi Fánjì .
24 But King David replied to Araunah, “No, I insist on paying the full price. I will not take for the LORD what is yours, or sacrifice a burnt offering that costs me nothing.”
25 Yúshì Dàwèi wèi nà kuaì dì píng le liù bǎi Shĕkèlè jīnzi gĕi a ĕrnán .
25 So David paid Araunah six hundred shekels of gold for the site.
26 Dàwèi zaì nàli wèi Yēhéhuá zhú le yī zuò tán , xiàn Fánjì hépíng ān jì , qiúgào Yēhéhuá . Yēhéhuá jiù yīngyún tā , shǐ huǒ cóng tiān jiàng zaì Fánjì tán shàng .
26 David built an altar to the LORD there and sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. He called on the LORD, and the LORD answered him with fire from heaven on the altar of burnt offering.
27 Yēhéhuá fēnfu shǐzhĕ , tā jiù shōu dāo rù qiào .
27 Then the LORD spoke to the angel, and he put his sword back into its sheath.
28 Nàshí , Dàwèi jiàn Yēhéhuá zaì Yēbùsīrén a ĕrnán de hécháng shàng yīngyún le tā , jiù zaì nàli xiànjì .
28 At that time, when David saw that the LORD had answered him on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite, he offered sacrifices there.
29 Móxī zaì kuàngyĕ suǒ zào zhī Yēhéhuá de zhàngmù hé Fánjì tán dōu zaì Jībiàn de gāo chù .
29 The tabernacle of the LORD, which Moses had made in the wilderness, and the altar of burnt offering were at that time on the high place at Gibeon.
30 Zhǐshì Dàwèi bù gǎn qián qù qiú wèn shén , yīnwei jùpà Yēhéhuá shǐzhĕ de dāo .
30 But David could not go before it to inquire of God, because he was afraid of the sword of the angel of the LORD.
