1 The divisions of the gatekeepers: from the Korahites: Meshelemiah, Kore's son, one of Ebiasaph's family.
1 Concerning the divisions of the gatekeepers: of the Korahites, Meshelemiah the son of Kore, of the sons of Asaph.
2 Meshelemiah's family: Zechariah the oldest, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth,
2 And the sons of Meshelemiah were Zechariah the firstborn, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth,
3 Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, and Eliehoenai the seventh.

7 Shemaiah's family: Othni, Rephael, Obed, Elzabad, and his relatives, Elihu and Semachiah, who were valiant men.
7 The sons of Shemaiah were Othni, Rephael, Obed, and Elzabad, whose brothers Elihu and Semachiah were able men.
8 All these were members of Obed-edom's family, they, their sons, and their relatives. They were valiant and strong in their service, 62 men belonging to Obed-edom.
8 All these were of the sons of Obed-Edom, they and their sons and their brethren, able men with strength for the work: sixty-two of Obed-Edom.
9 Meshelemiah's family and relatives, valiant men, numbered 18.
9 And Meshelemiah had sons and brethren, eighteen able men.
10 Hosah, one of Merari's family, also had a family: Shimri the first (though he wasn't the oldest, his father gave him that status),
10 Also Hosah, of the children of Merari, had sons: Shimri the first (for though he was not the firstborn, his father made him the first),
11 Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, and Zechariah the fourth. All of Hosah's family and relatives numbered 13.

12 These were the divisions of the gatekeepers with their leaders, who were responsible to minister in the LORD's temple, along with their relatives.
12 Among these were the divisions of the gatekeepers, among the chief men, having duties just like their brethren, to serve in the house of the Lord.
13 They cast lots for each gate in the same way, whether their household was small or large.
13 And they cast lots for each gate, the small as well as the great, according to their father's house.
14 The lot for the East Gate fell to Shelemiah. They then cast lots for his son Zechariah, a wise counselor, and his lot indicated the North Gate.

17 each day the East had six, the North four, and the South four, with two at each of the storehouses.

19 These were the divisions of the gatekeepers from Korah's family and Merari's family.
19 These were the divisions of the gatekeepers among the sons of Korah and among the sons of Merari.
20 Their fellow Levites were in charge of the treasuries of God's temple and the treasuries of the dedicated gifts:
20 Of the Levites, Ahijah was over the treasuries of the house of God and over the treasuries of the dedicated things.
21 from Ladan's family, the family of the Gershonites belonging to Ladan, and the heads of the households belonging to Ladan the Gershonite: Jehieli.
21 The sons of Laadan, the descendants of the Gershonites of Laadan, heads of their fathers' houses, of Laadan the Gershonite: Jehieli.
22 Jehieli's family: Zetham and Joel his brother were in charge of the treasuries of the LORD's temple.
22 The sons of Jehieli, Zetham and Joel his brother, were over the treasuries of the house of the Lord.
23 From the Amramites, Izharites, Hebronites, and Uzzielites:
23 Of the Amramites, the Izharites, the Hebronites, and the Uzzielites:
24 Shebuel, a descendant of Gershom, Moses' son, was the chief officer in charge of the treasuries.
24 Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was overseer of the treasuries.
25 His relatives through Eliezer included his son Rehabiah, his son Jeshaiah, his son Joram, his son Zichri, and his son Shelomoth.
25 And his brethren by Eliezer were Rehabiah his son, Jeshaiah his son, Joram his son, Zichri his son, and Shelomith his son.
26 This Shelomoth and his relatives were in charge of all the treasuries of the gifts dedicated by King David, by the household leaders, by the commanders of the units of a thousand and a hundred, and by the army officers.
26 This Shelomith and his brethren were over all the treasuries of the dedicated things which King David and the heads of fathers' houses, the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the army, had dedicated.
27 They had dedicated some of the valuable objects won in battle to repair the LORD's temple.
27 Some of the spoils won in battles they dedicated to maintain the house of the Lord.
28 Everything that was dedicated by Samuel the seer, as well as by Saul, Kish's son; Abner, Ner's son; and Joab, Zeruiah's son—in fact, anything that had been dedicated—was under the supervision of Shelomoth and his relatives.
28 And all that Samuel the seer, Saul the son of Kish, Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah had dedicated, every dedicated thing, was under the hand of Shelomith and his brethren.
29 From the Izharites: Chenaniah and his family had responsibilities over Israel outside the temple as officials and judges.
29 Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons performed duties as officials and judges over Israel outside Jerusalem.
30 From the Hebronites: Hashabiah and his relatives, 1,700 capable men, were put in charge of Israel west of the Jordan concerning all of the LORD's affairs and the king's service.
30 Of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brethren, one thousand seven hundred able men, had the oversight of Israel on the west side of the Jordan for all the business of the Lord, and in the service of the king.
31 From the Hebronites: Jerijah was the head of the Hebronites according to the family records of their households. In the fortieth year of David's rule, a search was made and capable men were found among them in Jazer in Gilead.
31 Among the Hebronites, Jerijah was head of the Hebronites according to his genealogy of the fathers. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought, and there were found among them capable men at Jazer of Gilead.
32 Jerijah's relatives, capable men, were 2,700 heads of households. King David put them in charge of Reuben, Gad, and half the tribe of Manasseh concerning all of God's and the king's affairs.
32 And his brethren were two thousand seven hundred able men, heads of fathers' houses, whom King David made officials over the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, for every matter pertaining to God and the affairs of the king.
