1 Voici les fils d'Israël: Ruben, Siméon, Lévi, Juda, Issacar, Zabulon,
1 These are the Bnei Yisroel: Reuven, Shim’on, Levi, and Yehudah, Yissakhar, and Zevulun,
2 Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Nephthali, Gad et Asser.
2 Dan, Yosef, and Binyamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
3 Fils de Juda: Er, Onan et Shéla. Ces trois lui naquirent de la fille de Shua, la Cananéenne. Er, premier-né de Juda, était méchant devant l'Éternel, et il le fit mourir.
3 The Bnei Yehudah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah, which three were born unto him of Bat-Shua the Kanaanit. And Er, the bechor of Yehudah, was rah in the eyes of Hashem; and He put him to death.
4 Tamar, sa belle-fille, lui enfanta Pharets et Zérach. Total des fils de Juda: cinq.
4 And Tamar his kallah (daughter-in-law) bore him Peretz and Zerach. All the Bnei Yehudah were five.
5 Fils de Pharets: Hetsron et Hamul.
5 The Bnei Peretz: Chetzron, and Chamul.
6 Fils de Zérach: Zimri, Éthan, Héman, Calcol et Dara; cinq en tout.
6 And the Bnei Zerach; Zimri, and Eitan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara, five of them in all.
7 Fils de Carmi: Acar, qui troubla Israël, lorsqu'il commit une prévarication au sujet de l'interdit.
7 And the Bnei Carmi: Achar, the troubler of Yisroel, who transgressed the cherem.
8 Fils d'Éthan: Azaria.
8 And the Bnei Eitan; Azaryah.
9 Fils qui naquirent à Hetsron: Jérachméel, Ram et Kélubaï (Caleb).
9 The Bnei Chetzron also, that were born unto him: Yerachme’el, and Ram, and Keluvai.
10 Ram engendra Amminadab; Amminadab engendra Nahasshon, prince des enfants de Juda.
10 And Ram fathered Amminadav; and Amminadav fathered Nachshon Nasi Bnei Yehudah;
11 Nahasshon engendra Salma. Salma engendra Booz.
11 And Nachshon fathered Salma; Salma fathered Boaz,
12 Booz engendra Obed. Obed engendra Isaï.
12 And Boaz fathered Oved, and Oved fathered Yishai,
13 Isaï engendra Éliab son premier-né, Abinadab le second, Shimea le troisième,
13 And Yishai fathered his bechor Eliav, and Avinadav the second, and Shimma the third,
14 Nathanaël le quatrième, Raddaï le cinquième,
14 Netanel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,
15 Otsem le sixième, David le septième.
15 Otzem the sixth, Dovid the seventh;
16 Tséruja et Abigaïl étaient leurs sœurs. Fils de Tséruja: Abishaï, Joab et Azaël, trois.
16 Whose achayot (sisters) were Tzeruyah, and Avigal. And the Bnei Tzeruyah: Avishai, and Yoav, and Asahel, three.
17 Abigaïl enfanta Amasa, dont le père fut Jéther, l'Ismaélite.
17 And Avigal bore Amasa, and avi Amasa was Yeter the Yishme’eli.
18 Caleb, fils de Hetsron, eut des enfants d'Azuba, sa femme, et de Jérioth; ses fils furent Jésher, Shobab et Ardon.
18 And Kalev Ben Chetzron fathered by Azuvah his isha, and by Yeriot; her banim are these; Yesher, and Shovav, and Ardon.
19 Azuba mourut; et Caleb prit pour femme Éphrath, qui lui enfanta Hur.
19 And when Azuvah was dead, Kalev took [as isha] unto him Ephrat, which bore him Chur.
20 Hur engendra Uri, et Uri engendra Betsaléel.
20 And Chur fathered Uri, and Uri fathered Betzale’el.
21 Après cela, Hetsron alla vers la fille de Makir, père de Galaad, et la prit, étant âgé de soixante ans; elle lui enfanta Ségub.
21 And afterward Chetzron went in to the Bat Machir avi Gil’ad, whom he married when his age was threescore shanim; and she bore him Seguv.
22 Ségub engendra Jaïr, qui eut vingt-trois villes au pays de Galaad.
22 And Seguv fathered Yair, who had three and twenty towns in Eretz Gil’ad.
23 Les Gueshuriens et les Syriens leur prirent les bourgs de Jaïr, Kénath et les villes de son ressort, soixante villes. Tous ceux-là étaient enfants de Makir, père de Galaad.
23 And he took Geshur, and Aram, with Chavvot Yair, from them, with Kenat, and the towns thereof, even threescore towns. All these belonged to the Bnei Machir avi Gil’ad.
24 Après la mort de Hetsron, à Caleb-Éphratha, Abija, femme de Hetsron, lui enfanta Ashur, père de Thékoa.
24 And after that Chetzron was dead in Kalev Ephratah, then Aviyah Chetzron’s isha bore him Ashchur avi Tekoa.
25 Les fils de Jérachméel, premier-né de Hetsron, furent: Ram, le premier-né, Buna, Oren et Otsem, nés d'Achija.
25 And the Bnei Yerachme’el the bechor of Chetzron were Ram the bechor, and Bunah, and Oren, and Otzem, and Achiyah.
26 Jérachméel eut une autre femme, nomée Atara, qui fut mère d'Onam.
26 Yerachme’el had also another isha, whose shem was Atarah; she was the em of Onam.
27 Les fils de Ram, premier-né de Jérachméel, furent Maats, Jamin et Éker.
27 And the Bnei Ram the bechor of Yerachme’el were Ma’atz, and Yamin, and Eker.
28 Les fils d'Onam furent: Shammaï et Jada. Fils de Shammaï: Nadab et Abishur.
28 And the Bnei Onam were Shammai, and Yada. And the Bnei Shammai; Nadav and Avishur.
29 Le nom de la femme d'Abishur était Abichaïl, qui lui enfanta Achban et Molid.
29 And the shem of the isha of Avishur was Avichayil, and she bore him Achban, and Molid.
30 Fils de Nadab: Séled et Appaïm. Séled mourut sans enfants.
30 And the Bnei Nadav: Seled, and Apayim, but Seled died without banim.
31 Fils d'Appaïm: Jishéï. Fils de Jishéï: Shéshan. Fils de Shéshan: Achlaï.
31 And the Bnei Apayim; Yishi. And the Bnei Yishi; Sheshan. And the Bnei Sheshan; Achlai.
32 Fils de Jada, frère de Shammaï: Jéther et Jonathan. Jéther mourut sans enfants.
32 And the Bnei Yada the brother of Shammai: Yeter, and Yonatan, and Yeter died without banim.
33 Fils de Jonathan: Péleth et Zaza. Ce furent là les enfants de Jérachméel.
33 And the Bnei Yonatan: Pelet, and Zaza. These were the Bnei Yerachme’el.
34 Shéshan n'eut point de fils, mais il eut des filles. Il avait un esclave égyptien, nommé Jarcha.
34 Now Sheshan had no banim, but only banot. And Sheshan had an eved, a Mitzri (an Egyptian), shmo Yarcha.
35 Et Shéshan donna sa fille pour femme à Jarcha, son esclave, et elle lui enfanta Attaï.
35 And Sheshan gave his bat to Yarcha his eved as isha; and she bore him Attai.
36 Attaï engendra Nathan; Nathan engendra Zabad;
36 And Attai fathered Natan, and Natan fathered Zavad,
37 Zabad engendra Ephlal; Ephlal engendra Obed;
37 And Zavad fathered Ephlal, and Ephlal fathered Oved,
38 Obed engendra Jéhu; Jéhu engendra Azaria;
38 And Oved fathered Yehu, and Yehu fathered Azaryah,
39 Azaria engendra Hélets; Hélets engendra Élasa;
39 And Azaryah fathered Cheletz, and Cheletz fathered Eleasah,
40 Élasa engendra Sismaï; Sismaï engendra Shallum;
40 And Eleasah fathered Sismai, and Sismai fathered Shallum,
41 Shallum engendra Jékamia; Jékamia engendra Élishama.
41 And Shallum fathered Yekamyah, and Yekamyah fathered Elishama.
42 Fils de Caleb, frère de Jérachméel: Mésha, son premier-né, qui fut père de Ziph, et les fils de Marésha, père d'Hébron.
42 Now the Bnei Kalev the brother of Yerachme’el were Mesha his bechor, who was avi Ziph; and the Bnei Mareshah avi Chevron.
43 Fils d'Hébron: Kora, Thappuach, Rékem et Shéma.
43 And the Bnei Chevron; Korach, and Tapuach, and Rekem, and Shema.
44 Shéma engendra Racham, père de Jorkéam; et Rékem engendra Shammaï.
44 And Shema fathered Racham avi Yorkeam; and Rekem fathered Shammai.
45 Fils de Shammaï: Maon; et Maon fut père de Bethsur.
45 And the Ben of Shammai was Maon, and Maon was avi Beit-tzur.
46 Épha, concubine de Caleb, enfanta Haran, Motsa et Gazez. Haran engendra Gazez.
46 And Ephah, Kalev’s pilegesh, bore Charan, Motza, Gazez; and Charan fathered Gazez.
47 Fils de Jahdaï: Réguem, Jotham, Guéshan, Pélet, Épha et Shaaph.
47 And the Bnei Yahdai; Regem, and Yotam, and Geshan, and Pelet, and Eiphah, and Sha’aph.
48 Maaca, concubine de Caleb, enfanta Shéber et Thirchana.
48 Ma’achah, Kalev’s pilegesh (concubine), bore Shever, and Tirchanah.
49 Elle enfanta aussi Shaaph, père de Madmanna, Shéva, père de Macbéna et père de Guibea. La fille de Caleb était Acsa.
49 She bore also Sha’aph avi Madmannah, Sheva avi Machbenah, and avi Givea; and the Bat Kalev was Achsa.
50 Ceux-ci furent fils de Caleb: Shobal, fils de Hur, premier-né d'Éphrata, et père de Kirjath-Jearim;
50 These were the Bnei Kalev Ben Chur, the bechor of Ephratah; Shoval avi Kiryat Yearim.
51 Salma, père de Bethléhem; Hareph, père de Beth-Gader.
51 Salma avi Beit-lechem, Chareph avi Beit-gader.
52 Shobal, père de Kirjath-Jearim, eut des enfants: Haroë, Hatsi-Hamménuhoth.
52 And Shoval avi Kiryat Yearim had banim; Haroeh, and half of Manuchot.
53 Les familles de Kirjath-Jearim furent: les Jithriens, les Puthiens, les Shumathiens et les Mishraïens; de ceux-là sont sortis les Tsoreathiens et les Eshthaoliens.
53 And the mishpekhot of Kiryat Yearim; the Yitri, and the Puti, and the Shumati, and the Mishra’i; of them came the Tzareati, and the Eshtauli.
54 Enfants de Salma: Bethléhem et les Nétophathiens, Atroth-Beth-Joab, Hatsi-Hammanachthi, les Tsoreïens,
54 The Bnei Salma; Beitlechem, and the Netophati, Atarot Bais Yoav, and half of the Manachati, the Tzori.
55 Et les familles des scribes qui habitaient à Jaebets, les Thireathiens, les Shimathiens, les Suchatiens. Ce sont les Kéniens, issus de Hamath, père de la maison de Récab.
55 And the mishpekhot of the sofrim (scribes) which dwelt at Yabetz; the Tiratim, the Shimeatim, and Sukhatim. These are the Kinim that came of Chamat avi Bais Rechav.
