1 Fils de Juda: Pharets, Hetsron, Carmi, Hur et Shobal.
1 The Bnei Yehudah; Peretz, Chetzron, and Carmi, and Chur, and Shoval.
2 Réaja, fils de Shobal, engendra Jachath; Jachath engendra Achumaï et Lahad. Ce sont les familles des Tsoreathiens.
2 And Reayah Ben Shoval fathered Yachat; and Yachat fathered Achumai, and Lahad. These are the mishpekhot of the Tzorati.
3 Ceux-ci sont issus du père d'Étham: Jizréel, Jishma et Jidbash; le nom de leur sœur était Hatsélelponi;
3 And these were the sons of Etam; Yizre’el (Jezreel), Yishma, Yidbash; and the shem of their achot (sister) was Hatzlelponi;
4 Pénuel était père de Guédor, et Ézer, père de Husha. Ce sont là les fils de Hur, premier-né d'Éphrata, père de Bethléhem.
4 And Penuel avi Gedor, and Ezer avi Chushah. These are the Bnei Chur, the bechor of Ephratah avi Beit- Lechem.
5 Ashur, père de Thékoa, eut deux femmes: Héléa et Naara.
5 And Ashchur avi Tekoa had two nashim (wives), Chelah and Na’arah.
6 Naara lui enfanta Achuzam, Hépher, Théméni et Achashthari. Ce sont là les fils de Naara.
6 And Na’arah bore him Achuzam, Chepher, Temeni, Achashtari, the Bnei Na’arah.
7 Fils de Héléa: Tséreth, Tsochar et Etnan.
7 And the Bnei Chelah were Tzeret, and Yetzochar, and Etnan.
8 Kots engendra Anub et Hatsobéba et les familles d'Acharchel, fils d'Harum.
8 And Kotz fathered Anuv, and Tzovevah, and the mishpekhot of Acharchel Ben Harum.
9 Jaebets était plus honoré que ses frères; sa mère l'avait nommé Jaebets (douleur), en disant: C'est avec douleur que je l'ai enfanté.
9 And Yabetz was more honorable than his brethren; and immo (his mother) called shmo Yabetz, saying, Because I bore him beotzev (with sorrow).
10 Jaebets invoqua le Dieu d'Israël, en disant: Si tu me bénis et que tu étendes mes limites; si ta main est avec moi, et si tu me préserves du malheur, en sorte que je ne sois pas dans la souffrance! Et Dieu accorda ce qu'il avait demandé.
10 And Yabetz called on Elohei Yisroel, saying, O that Thou wouldest put a barucha on me indeed, and enlarge my territory, and that Thine yad might be with me, and that Thou wouldest keep me from ra’ah, that it may not grieve me! And Elohim granted him that which he requested.
11 Kélub, frère de Shucha, engendra Méchir, qui fut père d'Eshthon.
11 And Keluv achi (brother of) Shuchah fathered Mechir avi Eshton.
12 Eshthon engendra la maison de Rapha, Paséach et Théchinna, père de la ville de Nachash. Ce sont là les gens de Réca.
12 And Eshton fathered Beit Rapha, and Paseach, and Techinnah avi Ir Nachash. These are the anashim of Rechah.
13 Fils de Kénaz: Othniel et Séraja. Fils d'Othniel: Hathath.
13 And the Bnei Kenaz; Otniel, and Serayah; and the Bnei Otniel; Chatat.
14 Méonothaï engendra Ophra. Séraja engendra Joab, père de la vallée des ouvriers; car ils étaient ouvriers.
14 And Meonotai fathered Ophrah; and Serayah fathered Yoav avi Gey Charashim; for they were charashim (craftsmen).
15 Fils de Caleb, fils de Jéphunné: Iru, Éla et Naam, et les fils d'Éla, et Kénaz.
15 And the Bnei Kalev Ben Yephunneh; Iru, Elah, and Na’am; and the Bnei Elah, even Kenaz.
16 Fils de Jehalléléel: Ziph, Zipha, Thiria et Asaréel.
16 And the Bnei Yehallelel; Ziph, and Ziphah, Tirya, and Asare’el.
17 Fils d'Esdras: Jéther, Méred, Épher et Jalon. Une femme de Méred enfanta Miriam, Shammaï, et Jishbach, père d'Eshthémoa.
17 And the Bnei Ezrah were Yeter, and Mered, and Epher, and Yalon; and she bore Miryam, and Shammai, and Yishbach avi Eshtemo’a.
18 Sa femme, la Juive, enfanta Jéred, père de Guédor, Héber, père de Soco, et Jékuthiel, père de Zanoach. Ceux-là sont les enfants de Bithia, fille de Pharaon, que Méred prit pour femme.
18 And his isha Yehudiyah bore Yered avi Gedor, Chever avi Socho, and Yekutiel avi Zanoach. And these are the Bnei Bityah Bat Pharaoh, which Mered took [as isha].
19 Fils de la femme d'Hodija, sœur de Nacham: le père de Kéhila le Garmien, et Eshthémoa le Maacathien.
19 And the Bnei eshet Hodiyah the achot (sister) of Nacham avi Keilah the Garmi, and Eshtemo’a the Ma’achati.
20 Fils de Simon: Amnon, Rinna, Ben-Hanan et Thélon. Fils de Jisheï: Zocheth et Ben-Zocheth.
20 And the Bnei Shimon were Amnon, and Rinnah, Ben-Chanan, and Tilon. And the Bnei Yishi were Zochet, and Ben-Zochet.
21 Fils de Shéla, fils de Juda: Er, père de Léca, Laëda, père de Marésha, et les familles de la maison des ouvriers en lin fin, de la maison d'Ashbéa,
21 The Bnei Shelah Ben Yehudah were Er avi Lechah, and La’adah avi Mareshah, and the mishpekhot of the bais of them that were workers with fine linen, of the Bais Ashbe’a,
22 Et Jokim, et les gens de Cozéba, et Joas et Saraph, qui dominèrent sur Moab, et Jashubi-Léchem. Ces choses sont anciennes.
22 And Yokim, and the anashim of Chozeva, and Yoash, and Saraph who ruled in Moav, and Yashuvi Lechem. And these are ancient records.
23 C'étaient les potiers et les habitants des plantations et des parcs; ils habitaient là auprès du roi pour son ouvrage.
23 These were the yotzerim, (potters) and those that dwelt in Neta’im and Gederah; there they dwelt and worked for the melech.
24 Fils de Siméon: Némuel, Jamin, Jarib, Zérach, Saül;
24 The Bnei Shim’on were Nemuel, and Yamin, Yariv, Zerach and Sha’ul;
25 Shallum, son fils; Mibsam, son fils, et Mishma, son fils.
25 Shallum bno, Mivsam bno, Mishma bno.
26 Fils de Mishma: Hamuel, son fils; Zaccur, son fils; Shimeï, son fils.
26 And the Bnei Mishma: Chamuel bno, Zakkur bno, Shimei bno.
27 Shimeï eut seize fils et six filles; ses frères n'eurent pas beaucoup d'enfants, et toutes leurs familles ne se multiplièrent pas autant que les fils de Juda.
27 And Shimei had sixteen banim and six banot, but his brethren had not many banim, neither did all their mishpakhat multiply like the Bnei Yehudah.
28 Ils habitèrent à Béer-Shéba, à Molada, à Hatsar-Shual,
28 And they dwelt at Beer-Sheva, and Moladah, and Chatzar Shual,
29 A Bilha, à Etsem, à Tholad,
29 And at Bilhah, and at Etzem, and at Tolad,
30 A Béthuel, à Horma, à Tsiklag,
30 And at Betuel, and at Chormah, and at Tziklag,
31 A Beth-Marcaboth, à Hatsar-Susim, à Beth-Biréï et à Shaaraïm. Ce furent là leurs villes jusqu'au règne de David.
31 And at Beit Marcavot, and Chatzar Susim, and at Beit Biri, and at Sha’arayim. These were their towns until the reign of Dovid.
32 Et leurs villages furent Etam, Aïn, Rimmon, Thoken et Assan, cinq villes;
32 And their villages were Etam, and Ayin, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, five towns;
33 Et tous leurs villages, qui étaient autour de ces villes, jusqu'à Baal. Ce sont là leurs habitations et leur enregistrement généalogique.
33 And all their villages were all around these towns as far as Baal. These were their settlements, and their genealogical records.
34 Meshobab, Jamlec, Josha, fils d'Amats;
34 And Meshovav, and Yamlech, and Yoshah Ben Amatzyah,
35 Joël, Jéhu, fils de Joshbia, fils de Séraja, fils d'Asiel;
35 And Yoel, and Yehu Ben Yoshivyah Ben Serayah Ben Asiel,
36 Éljoénaï, Jaakoba, Jeshochaïa, Asaja, Adiel, Jésimiel, Bénaja;
36 And Elyo’enai, and Ya’akovah, and Yeshochayah, and Asayah, and Adiel, and Yesimiel, and Benayah,
37 Ziza, fils de Shiphéï, fils d'Allon, fils de Jédaja, fils de Shimri, fils de Shémaja.
37 And Ziza Ben Shiphi Ben Allon Ben Yedayah Ben Shimri Ben Shema’yah.
38 Ceux-là, désignés par leurs noms, étaient princes dans leurs familles, et les maisons de leurs pères se répandirent beaucoup.
38 These listed by their shmot were nasi’im in their mishpekhot; and the bais of avoteihem increased greatly.
39 Ils allèrent vers Guédor, jusqu'à l'orient de la vallée, cherchant des pâturages pour leurs troupeaux.
39 And they went to the outlying area of Gedor, even unto the east side of the gey (valley), to seek mireh (pasture) for their tzon.
40 Ils trouvèrent des pâturages gras et bons, et une contrée spacieuse en tous sens, tranquille et sûre; car ceux qui habitaient là auparavant descendaient de Cham.
40 And they found mireh fertile and tov, and ha’aretz was spacious, and quiet, and peaceful; for they of Cham had dwelt there of old.
41 Ces hommes inscrits par leurs noms, vinrent du temps d'Ézéchias, roi de Juda, et frappèrent leurs tentes et les Maonites qui se trouvaient là; ils les vouèrent à l'interdit jusqu'à ce jour, et ils habitèrent à leur place, car il y avait là des pâturages pour leurs troupeaux.
41 And these listed by shemot came in the days of Chizkiyah Melech Yehudah, and attacked their ohalim, and the habitations that were found there, and destroyed them utterly unto this day, and dwelt in their place, because there was mireh there for their tzon.
42 Cinq cents hommes d'entre eux, des enfants de Siméon, s'en allèrent à la montagne de Séir, ayant à leur tête Pélatia, Néaria, Réphaja et Uziel, enfants de Jisheï.
42 And some of them, even of the Bnei Shim’on, five hundred anashim, went to Har Seir, having for their leaders Pelatyah, and Nearyah, and Refayah, and Uzziel, the Bnei Yishi.
43 Ils frappèrent le reste des réchappés d'Amalek, et ils ont habité là jusqu'à ce jour.
43 And they struck the she’erit (remnant) of Amalek that were escaped, and dwelt there unto this day.
