1 Corinthians 6

HNV

YLT

1 Dare any of you, having a matter against his neighbor, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the holy ones?
1 Dare any one of you, having a matter with the other, go to be judged before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?
2 Don't you know that the holy ones will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
2 have ye not known that the saints shall judge the world? and if by you the world is judged, are ye unworthy of the smaller judgments?
3 Don't you know that we will judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?
3 have ye not known that we shall judge messengers? why not then the things of life?
4 If then, you have to judge things pertaining to this life, do you set them to judge who are of no account in the assembly?
4 of the things of life, indeed, then, if ye may have judgment, those despised in the assembly -- these cause ye to sit;
5 I say this to move you to shame. What, can't there be one wise man among you who will be able to decide between his brothers;
5 unto your shame I speak: so there is not among you one wise man, not even one, who shall be able to discern in the midst of his brethren!
6 but brother goes to law with brother, and that before unbelievers?
6 but brother with brother doth go to be judged, and this before unbelievers!
7 Therefore it is already altogether a defect in you, that you have lawsuits one with another. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be defrauded?
7 Already, indeed, then, there is altogether a fault among you, that ye have judgments with one another; wherefore do ye not rather suffer injustice? wherefore be ye not rather defrauded?
8 No, but you yourselves do wrong, and defraud, and that against your brothers.
8 but ye -- ye do injustice, and ye defraud, and these -- brethren!
9 Or don't you know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Don't be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals,
9 have ye not known that the unrighteous the reign of God shall not inherit? be not led astray; neither whoremongers, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor sodomites,
10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit the kingdom of God.
10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, the reign of God shall inherit.
11 Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Yeshua, and in the Spirit of our God.
11 And certain of you were these! but ye were washed, but ye were sanctified, but ye were declared righteous, in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.
12 "All things are lawful for me," but not all things are expedient. "All things are lawful for me," but I will not be brought under the power of anything.
12 All things are lawful to me, but all things are not profitable; all things are lawful to me, but I -- I will not be under authority by any;
13 "Foods for the belly, and the belly for foods," but God will bring to nothing both it and them. But the body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.
13 the meats [are] for the belly, and the belly for the meats. And God both this and these shall make useless; and the body [is] not for whoredom, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body;
14 Now God raised up the Lord, and will also raise us up by his power.
14 and God both the Lord did raise, and us will raise up through His power.
15 Don't you know that your bodies are members of Messiah? Shall I then take away the members of Messiah, and make them members of a prostitute? May it never be!
15 Have ye not known that your bodies are members of Christ? having taken, then, the members of the Christ, shall I make [them] members of an harlot? let it be not!
16 Or don't you know that he who is joined to a prostitute is one body? For, "The two," says he, "will become one flesh."
16 have ye not known that he who is joined to the harlot is one body? `for they shall be -- saith He -- the two for one flesh.'
17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit.
17 And he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit;
18 Flee sexual immorality! "Every sin that a man does is outside the body," but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.
18 flee the whoredom; every sin -- whatever a man may commit -- is without the body, and he who is committing whoredom, against his own body doth sin.
19 Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Ruach HaKodesh which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own,
19 Have ye not known that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit in you, which ye have from God? and ye are not your own,
20 for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
20 for ye were bought with a price; glorify, then, God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
