1 En efecto, se oye que entre vosotros hay inmoralidad, y una inmoralidad tal como no existe ni siquiera entre los gentiles, al extremo de que alguno tiene la mujer de su padre.

2 Y os habéis vuelto arrogantes en lugar de haberos entristecido, para que el que de entre vosotros ha cometido esta acción fuera expulsado de en medio de vosotros.

3 Pues yo, por mi parte, aunque ausente en cuerpo pero presente en espíritu, como si estuviera presente, ya he juzgado al que cometió tal acción.

4 En el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesús, cuando vosotros estéis reunidos, y yo con vosotros en espíritu, con el poder de nuestro Señor Jesús,

5 entregad a ese tal a Satanás para la destrucción de su carne, a fin de que su espíritu sea salvo en el día del Señor Jesús.

6 Vuestra jactancia no es buena. ¿No sabéis que un poco de levadura fermenta toda la masa?

7 Limpiad la levadura vieja para que seáis masa nueva, así como lo sois, sin levadura. Porque aun Cristo, nuestra Pascua, ha sido sacrificado.

8 Por tanto, celebremos la fiesta no con la levadura vieja, ni con la levadura de malicia y maldad, sino con panes sin levadura de sinceridad y de verdad.

9 En mi carta os escribí que no anduvierais en compañía de personas inmorales;

10 no me refería a la gente inmoral de este mundo, o a los avaros y estafadores, o a los idólatras, porque entonces tendríais que salir del mundo.

11 Sino que en efecto os escribí que no anduvierais en compañía de ninguno que, llamándose hermano, es una persona inmoral, o avaro, o idólatra, o difamador, o borracho, o estafador; con ése, ni siquiera comáis.

12 Pues ¿por qué he de juzgar yo a los de afuera? ¿No juzgáis vosotros a los que están dentro de la iglesia?

13 Pero Dios juzga a los que están fuera. EXPULSAD DE ENTRE VOSOTROS AL MALVADO.

1 Yet all manner of fornication is heard among you, and such fornication, which is not among heathen men, so that some man have the wife of his father [so that one man have the wife of his father].

2 And ye be swollen with pride [And ye be blown with pride], and not more had wailing, that he that did this work, be taken away from the middle of you.

3 And I absent in body [Soothly I absent in body], but present in spirit, now have deemed as present him that hath thus wrought,

4 when ye be gathered together in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, and my spirit, with the virtue of the Lord Jesus,

5 to betake such a man to Satan, into the perishing of flesh, that the spirit be safe in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not, that a little sourdough impaireth all the gobbet [that a little sourdough corrupteth all the gobbet]?

7 Cleanse ye out the old sourdough, that ye be new sprinkling together, as ye be therf. For Christ offered is our pask. [Cleanse ye out old sourdough, that ye be new sprinkling together, as ye be therf, or without souring. Forsooth Christ is offered our pask.]

8 Therefore eat we, not in old sourdough, neither in sourdough of malice and waywardness, but in therf things of clearness and of truth [of clearness and truth].

9 I wrote to you in an epistle, that ye be not mixed with lechers, [I wrote to you in an epistle, that ye be not mingled, or commune not, with lechers,]

10 not with lechers of this world, nor with covetous men, nor raveners, nor with men serving to maumets [+soothly not with lechers of this world, or with covetous men, or raveners, or with men serving to idols], else ye should have gone out of this world.

11 But now I have written to you, that ye be not mixed [Now soothly I wrote to you, to be not mingled, or commune not with such]. If he that is named a brother among you, and is a lecher, or covetous, or serving to idols, or a curser, or full of drunkenness, or a ravener, to take no meat with such [with such neither to take meat].

12 For what is it to me to deem of them that be withoutforth? Whether ye deem not of things that be withinforth? [Forsooth what to me to deem of them that be withoutforth. Whether ye deem not of them that be withinforth?]

13 For God shall deem them that be withoutforth. Do ye away evil from yourselves.
