1 Yuēshāfǎ dà yǒu zūnróng zīcái , jiù yǔ yà hā jié qīn .

Now Jehoshaphat had great wealth and honor, and he allied himself with Ahab by marriage.
2 Guō le jǐ nián , tā xià dào sǎ Mǎlìyà qù jiàn yà hā . yà hā wèi tā hé gēn cóng tāde rén zǎi le xǔduō niú yáng , quàn tā yǔ zìjǐ tóng qù gōng qǔ Jīliè de là mò .

Some years later he went down to see Ahab in Samaria. Ahab slaughtered many sheep and cattle for him and the people with him and urged him to attack Ramoth Gilead.
3 Yǐsèliè wáng yà hā wèn Yóudà wáng Yuēshāfǎ shuō , nǐ kĕn tóng wǒ qù gōng qǔ Jīliè de là mò ma . tā huídá shuō , nǐ wǒ bù fēn bǐcǐ , wǒde mín yǔ nǐde mín yíyàng , bì yǔ nǐ tóng qù zhēng zhàn .

Ahab king of Israel asked Jehoshaphat king of Judah, “Will you go with me against Ramoth Gilead?” Jehoshaphat replied, “I am as you are, and my people as your people; we will join you in the war.”
4 Yuēshāfǎ duì Yǐsèliè wáng shuō , qǐng nǐ xiān qiú wèn Yēhéhuá .

But Jehoshaphat also said to the king of Israel, “First seek the counsel of the LORD.”
5 Yúshì Yǐsèliè wáng zhāo jù xiānzhī sì bǎi rén , wèn tāmen shuō , wǒmen shàng qù gōng qǔ Jīliè de là mò kĕyǐ bùkĕ yǐ . tāmen shuō , kĕyǐ shàng qù , yīnwei shén bìjiāng nà chéng jiāo zaì wáng de shǒu lǐ .

So the king of Israel brought together the prophets—four hundred men—and asked them, “Shall we go to war against Ramoth Gilead, or shall I not?” “Go,” they answered, “for God will give it into the king’s hand.”
6 Yuēshāfǎ shuō , zhèlǐ bú shì hái yǒu Yēhéhuá de xiānzhī , wǒmen kĕyǐ qiú wèn tā ma .

But Jehoshaphat asked, “Is there no longer a prophet of the LORD here whom we can inquire of?”
7 Yǐsèliè wáng duì Yuēshāfǎ shuō , hái yǒu yī gèrén , shì yīn là de érzi Mǐgāiyǎ . wǒmen kĕyǐ tuō tā qiú wèn Yēhéhuá , zhǐshì wǒ hèn tā . yīnwei tā zhǐ zhe wǒ suǒ shuō de yùyán , bù shuō jí yǔ , cháng shuō xiōng yán . Yuēshāfǎ shuō , wáng bù bì zhèyàng shuō .

The king of Israel answered Jehoshaphat, “There is still one prophet through whom we can inquire of the LORD, but I hate him because he never prophesies anything good about me, but always bad. He is Micaiah son of Imlah.” “The king should not say such a thing,” Jehoshaphat replied.
8 Yǐsèliè wáng jiù zhào le yī gè taì jiān lái , shuō , nǐ kuaì qù jiāng1 yīn là de érzi Mǐgāiyǎ zhào lái .

So the king of Israel called one of his officials and said, “Bring Micaiah son of Imlah at once.”
9 Yǐsèliè wáng hé Yóudà wáng Yuēshāfǎ zaì sǎ Mǎlìyà chéng mén qián de kōng cháng shàng , gè chuān zhāo fù zuò zaì wèi shàng , suǒyǒude xiānzhī dōu zaì tāmen miànqián shuō yùyán .

Dressed in their royal robes, the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah were sitting on their thrones at the threshing floor by the entrance of the gate of Samaria, with all the prophets prophesying before them.
10 Jīná ná de érzi Xīdǐjiā zào le liǎng gè tiĕ jiǎo , shuō , Yēhéhuá rúcǐ shuō , nǐ yào yòng zhè jiǎo dǐ chù Yàlán rén , zhídào jiāng tāmen miè jǐn .

Now Zedekiah son of Kenaanah had made iron horns, and he declared, “This is what the LORD says: ‘With these you will gore the Arameans until they are destroyed.’ ”
11 Suǒyǒude xiānzhī yĕ dōu zhèyàng yùyán shuō , kĕyǐ shàng Jīliè de là mò qù , bìrán déshèng , yīnwei Yēhéhuá bìjiāng nà chéng jiāo zaì wáng de shǒu zhōng .

All the other prophets were prophesying the same thing. “Attack Ramoth Gilead and be victorious,” they said, “for the LORD will give it into the king’s hand.”
12 Nà qù zhào Mǐgāiyǎ de shǐzhĕ duì Mǐgāiyǎ shuō , zhòng xiānzhī yīkǒu tóng yīn dì dōu xiàng wáng shuō jí yán , nǐ bù rú yǔ tāmen shuō yíyàng de huà , yĕ shuō jí yán .

The messenger who had gone to summon Micaiah said to him, “Look, the other prophets without exception are predicting success for the king. Let your word agree with theirs, and speak favorably.”
13 Mǐ gāi yǎ shuō , wǒ zhī zhe yǒngshēng de Yēhéhuá qǐshì , wǒde shén shuō shénme , wǒ jiù shuō shénme .

But Micaiah said, “As surely as the LORD lives, I can tell him only what my God says.”
14 Mǐ gāi yǎ dào wáng miànqián , wáng wèn tā shuō , Mǐgāiyǎ a , wǒmen shàng qù gōng qǔ Jīliè de là mò kĕyǐ bùkĕ yǐ . tā shuō , kĕyǐ shàng qù , bìrán déshèng , dírén Bìjiāo zaì nǐmen shǒu lǐ .

When he arrived, the king asked him, “Micaiah, shall we go to war against Ramoth Gilead, or shall I not?” “Attack and be victorious,” he answered, “for they will be given into your hand.”
15 Wáng duì tā shuō , wǒ dāng zhǔfu nǐ jǐ cì , nǐ cái fèng Yēhéhuá de míng xiàng wǒ shuō shí huà ne .

The king said to him, “How many times must I make you swear to tell me nothing but the truth in the name of the LORD?”
16 Mǐ gāi yǎ shuō , wǒ kànjian Yǐsèliè zhòng mín sǎn zaì shān shàng , rútóng méiyǒu mùrén de yáng qún yìbān . Yēhéhuá shuō , zhè mín méiyǒu zhǔrén , tāmen kĕyǐ píng píngān ān dì gè guī gè jiā qù .

Then Micaiah answered, “I saw all Israel scattered on the hills like sheep without a shepherd, and the LORD said, ‘These people have no master. Let each one go home in peace.’ ”
17 Yǐsèliè wáng duì Yuēshāfǎ shuō , wǒ qǐ méiyǒu gàosu nǐ , zhè rén zhǐ zhe wǒ suǒ shuō de yùyán , bù shuō jí yǔ , dān shuō xiōng yán ma .

The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “Didn’t I tell you that he never prophesies anything good about me, but only bad?”
18 Mǐ gāi yǎ shuō , nǐmen yào tīng Yēhéhuá de huà . wǒ kànjian Yēhéhuá zuò zaì bǎozuò shàng , tiān shàng de wàn jūn shì lì zaì tā zuǒyòu .

Micaiah continued, “Therefore hear the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne with all the multitudes of heaven standing on his right and on his left.
19 Yēhéhuá shuō , shuí qù yǐnyòu Yǐsèliè wáng yà hā shàng Jīliè de là mò qù zhèn wáng ne . zhège jiù zhèyàng shuō , nàge jiù nàyàng shuō .

And the LORD said, ‘Who will entice Ahab king of Israel into attacking Ramoth Gilead and going to his death there?’ “One suggested this, and another that.
20 Suíhòu , yǒu yī gè shén líng chūlai , zhàn zaì Yēhéhuá miànqián shuō , wǒ qù yǐnyòu tā . Yēhéhuá wèn tā shuō , nǐ yòng hé fǎ ne .

Finally, a spirit came forward, stood before the LORD and said, ‘I will entice him.’ “ ‘By what means?’ the LORD asked.
21 Tā shuō , wǒ qù , yào zaì tā zhòng xiānzhī kǒu zhōng zuò huǎng yán de líng . Yēhéhuá shuō , zhèyàng , nǐ bì néng yǐnyòu tā , nǐ qù rúcǐ xíng ba .

“ ‘I will go and be a deceiving spirit in the mouths of all his prophets,’ he said. “ ‘You will succeed in enticing him,’ said the LORD. ‘Go and do it.’
22 Xiànzaì Yēhéhuá shǐ huǎng yán de líng rù le nǐ zhèxie xiānzhī de kǒu , bìngqiĕ Yēhéhuá yǐjing méngdéng jiàng huò yǔ nǐ .

“So now the LORD has put a deceiving spirit in the mouths of these prophets of yours. The LORD has decreed disaster for you.”

Then Zedekiah son of Kenaanah went up and slapped Micaiah in the face. “Which way did the spirit from the LORD go when he went from me to speak to you?” he asked.

Micaiah replied, “You will find out on the day you go to hide in an inner room.”
25 Yǐsèliè wáng shuō , jiāng Mǐgāiyǎ daì huí , jiāo gĕi yì zǎi Yàmén hé wáng de érzi yuē a shī , shuō ,

The king of Israel then ordered, “Take Micaiah and send him back to Amon the ruler of the city and to Joash the king’s son,
26 Wáng rúcǐ shuō , bǎ zhège rén xià zaì jiānlǐ , shǐ tā shòu kǔ , chī bù bǎo hē bùzú , dĕnghòu wǒ píng píngān ān dì huí lái .

and say, ‘This is what the king says: Put this fellow in prison and give him nothing but bread and water until I return safely.’ ”
27 Mǐ gāi yǎ shuō , nǐ ruò néng píngān huí lái , nà jiù shì Yēhéhuá méiyǒu jiè wǒ shuō zhè huà le . yòu shuō , zhòng mín nǎ , nǐmen dōu yào tīng .

Micaiah declared, “If you ever return safely, the LORD has not spoken through me.” Then he added, “Mark my words, all you people!”
28 Yǐsèliè wáng hé Yóudà wáng Yuēshāfǎ shàng Jīliè de là mò qù le .

So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah went up to Ramoth Gilead.
29 Yǐsèliè wáng duì Yuēshāfǎ shuō , wǒ yào gǎizhuāng shàng zhèn , nǐ kĕyǐ réng chuān wáng fù . yúshì Yǐsèliè wáng gǎizhuāng , tāmen jiù shàng zhèn qù le .

The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “I will enter the battle in disguise, but you wear your royal robes.” So the king of Israel disguised himself and went into battle.
30 Xiān shì Yàlán wáng fēnfu chē bīng zhǎng shuō , tāmende bīng jiāng , wúlùn dà xiǎo , nǐmen dōu bùkĕ yǔ tāmen zhēng zhàn , zhǐyào yǔ Yǐsèliè wáng zhēng zhàn .

Now the king of Aram had ordered his chariot commanders, “Do not fight with anyone, small or great, except the king of Israel.”
31 Chē bīng zhǎng kànjian Yuēshāfǎ biàn shuō , zhè bì shì Yǐsèliè wáng , jiù zhuǎn guō qù yǔ tā zhēng zhàn . Yuēshāfǎ yī hūhǎn , Yēhéhuá jiù bāngzhu tā , shén yòu gǎndòng tāmen líkāi tā .

When the chariot commanders saw Jehoshaphat, they thought, “This is the king of Israel.” So they turned to attack him, but Jehoshaphat cried out, and the LORD helped him. God drew them away from him,
32 Chē bīng zhǎng jiàn bú shì Yǐsèliè wáng , jiù zhuǎn qù bù zhuī tā le .

for when the chariot commanders saw that he was not the king of Israel, they stopped pursuing him.
33 Yǒu yī rén suí biàn kāi gōng , qià qiǎo shè rù Yǐsèliè wáng de jiǎ fèng lǐ . wáng duì gǎn chē de shuō , wǒ shòu le zhòng shāng , nǐ zhuǎn guō chē lái , là wǒ chū zhèn ba .

But someone drew his bow at random and hit the king of Israel between the breastplate and the scale armor. The king told the chariot driver, “Wheel around and get me out of the fighting. I’ve been wounded.”
34 Nà rì zhèn shì yuè zhàn yuè mĕng , Yǐsèliè wáng miǎnqiǎng zhàn zaì chē shàng dǐdǎng Yàlán rén , zhídào wǎnshang . yuē zaì rìluò de shíhou , wáng jiù sǐ le .

All day long the battle raged, and the king of Israel propped himself up in his chariot facing the Arameans until evening. Then at sunset he died.
