1 Y cuando todo esto había terminado, todos los de Israel que estaban presentes, salieron a las ciudades de Judá, despedazaron los pilares sagrados, cortaron las Aseras y derribaron los lugares altos y los altares por todo Judá y Benjamín, y también en Efraín y Manasés, hasta acabar con todos ellos. Entonces todos los hijos de Israel volvieron a sus ciudades, cada cual a su posesión.

After the Passover celebration, they all took off for the cities of Judah and smashed the phallic stone monuments, chopped down the sacred Asherah groves, and demolished the neighborhood sex-and-religion shrines and local god shops. They didn't stop until they had been all through Judah, Benjamin, Ephraim, and Manasseh. Then they all went back home and resumed their everyday lives.
2 Y Ezequías designó las clases de los sacerdotes y de los levitas, cada uno en su clase, según su servicio, tanto sacerdotes como levitas, para los holocaustos y para las ofrendas de paz, para que ministraran, dieran gracias y alabaran en las puertas del campamento del SEÑOR.

Hezekiah organized the groups of priests and Levites for their respective tasks, handing out job descriptions for conducting the services of worship: making the various offerings, and making sure that thanks and praise took place wherever and whenever God was worshiped.
3 También designó de sus propios bienes la porción del rey para los holocaustos, es decir, para los holocaustos de la mañana y de la tarde, y los holocaustos de los días de reposo, de las lunas nuevas y de las fiestas señaladas, como está escrito en la ley del SEÑOR.

He also designated his personal contribution for the Whole-Burnt-Offerings for the morning and evening worship, for Sabbaths, for New Moon festivals, and for the special worship days set down in The Revelation of God.
4 También ordenó al pueblo que habitaba en Jerusalén que diera la porción correspondiente a los sacerdotes y levitas, a fin de que se dedicaran a la ley del SEÑOR.

In addition, he asked the people who lived in Jerusalem to be responsible for providing for the priests and Levites so they, without distraction or concern, could give themselves totally to The Revelation of God.
5 Tan pronto como se divulgó la orden, los hijos de Israel proveyeron en abundancia las primicias de grano, mosto, aceite, miel y de todo producto del campo; y trajeron el diezmo de todo en abundancia.

As soon as Hezekiah's orders had gone out, the Israelites responded generously: firstfruits of the grain harvest, new wine, oil, honey - everything they grew. They didn't hold back, turning over a tithe of everything.
6 Y los hijos de Israel y de Judá que habitaban en las ciudades de Judá, también trajeron el diezmo de bueyes y ovejas y el diezmo de las cosas sagradas consagradas al SEÑOR su Dios, y los depositaron en montones.

They also brought in a tithe of their cattle, sheep, and anything else they owned that had been dedicated to God. Everything was sorted and piled in mounds.
7 En el mes tercero comenzaron a formar los montones y los terminaron en el mes séptimo.

They started doing this in the third month and didn't finish until the seventh month.
8 Cuando Ezequías y los jefes vinieron y vieron los montones, bendijeron al SEÑOR y a su pueblo Israel.

When Hezekiah and his leaders came and saw the extent of the mounds of gifts, they praised God and commended God's people Israel.
9 Ezequías preguntó a los sacerdotes y a los levitas acerca de los montones,

Hezekiah then consulted the priests and Levites on how to handle the abundance of offerings.
10 y el sumo sacerdote Azarías, de la casa de Sadoc, le dijo: Desde que se comenzaron a traer las ofrendas a la casa del SEÑOR, hemos tenido bastante para comer y ha sobrado mucho, porque el SEÑOR ha bendecido a su pueblo; y esta gran cantidad ha sobrado.

Azariah, chief priest of the family of Zadok, answered, "From the moment of this huge outpouring of gifts to The Temple of God, there has been plenty to eat for everyone with food left over. God has blessed his people - just look at the evidence!"
11 Entonces Ezequías ordenó que prepararan cámaras en la casa del SEÑOR, y las prepararon.

Hezekiah then ordered storerooms to be prepared in The Temple of God. When they were ready,
12 Fielmente llevaron allí las ofrendas y los diezmos y las cosas consagradas; y el levita Conanías era el intendente encargado de ellas, y su hermano Simei era el segundo.

they brought in all the offerings of tithes and sacred gifts. They put Conaniah the Levite in charge with his brother Shimei as assistant.
13 Y Jehiel, Azazías, Nahat, Asael, Jerimot, Jozabad, Eliel, Ismaquías, Mahat y Benaía eran inspectores bajo el mando de Conanías y de Simei, su hermano, por nombramiento del rey Ezequías, y Azarías era el oficial principal de la casa de Dios.

Jehiel, Azaziah, Nahath, Asahel, Jerimoth, Jozabad, Eliel, Ismakiah, Mahath, and Benaiah were project managers under the direction of Conaniah and Shimei, carrying out the orders of King Hezekiah and Azariah the chief priest of The Temple of God.
14 Y el levita Coré, hijo de Imna, portero de la puerta oriental, estaba a cargo de las ofrendas voluntarias hechas a Dios, para repartir las ofrendas dedicadas al SEÑOR y las cosas santísimas.

Kore son of Imnah the Levite, security guard of the East Gate, was in charge of the Freewill-Offerings of God and responsible for distributing the offerings and sacred gifts.
15 Bajo su mando estaban Edén, Miniamín, Jesúa, Semaías, Amarías y Secanías en las ciudades de los sacerdotes, para distribuir fielmente las porciones, por clases, a sus hermanos, fueran grandes o pequeños,

Faithful support out in the priestly cities was provided by Eden, Miniamin, Jeshua, Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah. They were even-handed in their distributions to their coworkers (all males thirty years and older) in each of their respective divisions
16 sin tener en cuenta su registro genealógico, a los varones de treinta años arriba, todos los que entraban en la casa del SEÑOR para las tareas diarias, por su trabajo en sus oficios según sus clases;

as they entered The Temple of God each day to do their assigned work (their work was all organized by divisions).
17 así como a los sacerdotes que estaban inscritos genealógicamente conforme a sus casas paternas, y a los levitas de veinte años arriba, según sus oficios y sus clases.

The divisions comprised officially registered priests by family and Levites twenty years and older by job description.
18 Y el registro genealógico incluía todos los niños, las mujeres, los hijos y las hijas de toda la asamblea, porque se consagraban fielmente en santidad.

The official family tree included everyone in the entire congregation - their small children, wives, sons, and daughters. The ardent dedication they showed in bringing themselves and their gifts to worship was total - no one was left out.
19 También para los hijos de Aarón, los sacerdotes que estaban en las tierras de pasto de sus ciudades, o en cualquiera de las ciudades, había hombres que estaban designados por nombre para distribuir porciones a todo varón entre los sacerdotes, y a todos los inscritos genealógicamente entre los levitas.

The Aaronites, the priests who lived out on the pastures that belonged to the priest-cities, had reputable men on hand to distribute regular rations to every priest - everyone listed in the official family tree of the Levites.
20 Así hizo Ezequías por todo Judá; y él hizo lo bueno, lo recto y lo verdadero delante del SEÑOR su Dios.

Hezekiah carried out this work and kept it up everywhere in Judah. He was the very best - good, right, and true before his God.
21 Y toda obra que emprendió en el servicio de la casa de Dios por ley y por mandamiento, buscando a su Dios, lo hizo con todo su corazón y prosperó.

Everything he took up, whether it had to do with worship in God's Temple or the carrying out of God's Law and Commandments, he did well in a spirit of prayerful worship. He was a great success.
