Psalm 83

CSB 1 God, do not keep silent. Do not be deaf, God; do not be idle. NIV 1 O God, do not remain silent; do not turn a deaf ear, do not stand aloof, O God. CSB 2 See how Your enemies make an uproar; those who hate You have acted arrogantly. NIV 2 See how your enemies growl, how your foes rear their heads. CSB 3 They devise clever schemes against Your people; they conspire against Your treasured ones. NIV 3 With cunning they conspire against your people; they plot against those you cherish. CSB 4 They say, "Come, let us wipe them out as a nation so that Israel's name will no longer be remembered." NIV 4 “Come,” they say, “let us destroy them as a nation, so that Israel’s name is remembered no more.” CSB 5 For they have conspired with one mind; they form an alliance against You- NIV 5 With one mind they plot together; they form an alliance against you— CSB 6 the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagrites, NIV 6 the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagrites, CSB 7 Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek, Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre.
