Psalm 87

CEB 1 God's foundation is set on the holy mountains. NRS 1 On the holy mount stands the city he founded; CEB 2 The LORD loves Zion's gates more than all of Jacob's houses combined. NRS 2 the Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob. CEB 3 Glorious things are said about you, the city of God! Selah NRS 3 Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of God. (Selah) CEB 4 I count Rahab and Babel among those who know me; also Philistia and Tyre, along with Cush— each of these was born there. NRS 4 Among those who know me I mention Rahab and Babylon; Philistia too, and Tyre, with Ethiopia — "This one was born there," they say. CEB 5 And of Zion it is said: "Each person was born in it, but the one who will establish it is the Most High." NRS 5 And of Zion it shall be said, "This one and that one were born in it"; for the Most High himself will establish it. CEB 6 The LORD makes a record as he registers the peoples: "Each one was born there." Selah NRS 6 The Lord records, as he registers the peoples, "This one was born there." (Selah) CEB 7 And while they dance, people sing: "The source of my life comes from you." NRS 7 Singers and dancers alike say, "All my springs are in you."
