KJV 1 His foundation is in the holy mountains. NIV 1 He has founded his city on the holy mountain. KJV 2 The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob. NIV 2 The LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the other dwellings of Jacob. KJV 3 Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah. NIV 3 Glorious things are said of you, city of God: KJV 4 I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born there. NIV 4 “I will record Rahab and Babylon among those who acknowledge me— Philistia too, and Tyre, along with Cush — and will say, ‘This one was born in Zion.’ ” KJV 5 And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her. NIV 5 Indeed, of Zion it will be said, “This one and that one were born in her, and the Most High himself will establish her.” KJV 6 The LORD shall count, when he writeth up the people, that this man was born there. Selah. NIV 6 The LORD will write in the register of the peoples: “This one was born in Zion.” KJV 7 As well the singers as the players on instruments shall be there: all my springs are in thee. NIV 7 As they make music they will sing, “All my fountains are in you.”
