1 Bōsī wáng Gǔliè dì sān nián , yǒu shì xiǎn gĕi chēngwèi bǎi tí shā sǎ de Dànyǐlǐ . zhè shì shì zhēn de , shì zhǐ zhe dà zhēng zhàn . Dànyǐlǐ tōngdá zhè shì , míngbai zhè yìxiàng .

In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia, a revelation was given to Daniel (who was called Belteshazzar). Its message was true and it concerned a great war. The understanding of the message came to him in a vision.
2 Dāng nàshí , wǒ Dànyǐlǐ bēi shāng le sān gè qī rì .

At that time I, Daniel, mourned for three weeks.
3 Mĕiwèi wǒ méiyǒu chī , jiǔ ròu méiyǒu rù wǒde kǒu , yĕ méiyǒu yòng yóu mǒ wǒde shēn , zhídào mǎn le sān gè qī rì .

I ate no choice food; no meat or wine touched my lips; and I used no lotions at all until the three weeks were over.
4 Zhēngyuè èr shí sì rì , wǒ zaì xī dǐ jié dà hé bian ,

On the twenty-fourth day of the first month, as I was standing on the bank of the great river, the Tigris,
5 Jǔmù guānkàn , jiàn yǒu yī rénshēn chuān xì má yǐ , yào shù wū fǎ jīng jīn daì .

I looked up and there before me was a man dressed in linen, with a belt of fine gold from Uphaz around his waist.
6 Tā shēntǐ rú shuǐ cāng yù , miànmào rú shǎndiàn , yǎnmù rú huǒbǎ , shǒu hé jiǎo rú guāngmíng de tóng , shuōhuà de shēngyīn rú dà zhòng de shēngyīn .

His body was like topaz, his face like lightning, his eyes like flaming torches, his arms and legs like the gleam of burnished bronze, and his voice like the sound of a multitude.
7 Zhè yìxiàng wéiyǒu wǒ Dànyǐlǐ yī rén kànjian , tóng zhe wǒde rén méiyǒu kànjian . tāmen què dàdà zhàn jīng , taópǎo yǐncáng ,

I, Daniel, was the only one who saw the vision; those who were with me did not see it, but such terror overwhelmed them that they fled and hid themselves.
8 Zhǐ shèngxia wǒ yī rén . wǒ jiàn le zhè dà yìxiàng biān húnshēn wúlì , miànmào shī shǎi , haó wú qì lì .

So I was left alone, gazing at this great vision; I had no strength left, my face turned deathly pale and I was helpless.
9 Wǒ què tīngjian tā shuōhuà de shēngyīn , yī tīngjian jiù miàn fú zaì dì chén shuì le .

Then I heard him speaking, and as I listened to him, I fell into a deep sleep, my face to the ground.
10 Hūrán , yǒu yī shǒu àn zaì wǒ shēnshang , shǐ wǒ yòng xī hé shǒuzhǎng zhī chí wēi qǐ .

A hand touched me and set me trembling on my hands and knees.
11 Tā duì wǒ shuō , dà méng juàn aì de Dànyǐlǐ a , yào míngbai wǒ yǔ nǐ suǒ shuō de huà , zhǐguǎn zhàn qǐlai , yīnwei wǒ xiànzaì fèng chāiqiǎn lái dào nǐ zhèlǐ . tā duì wǒ shuō zhè huà , wǒ biàn zhàn zhàn jīng jīng dì lì qǐlai .

He said, “Daniel, you who are highly esteemed, consider carefully the words I am about to speak to you, and stand up, for I have now been sent to you.” And when he said this to me, I stood up trembling.
12 Tā jiù shuō , Dànyǐlǐ a , búyào jùpà . yīnwei cóng nǐ dì yī rì zhuān xīn qiú míngbai jiānglái de shì , yòu zaì nǐ shén miànqián kè kǔ jǐ xīn , nǐde yányǔ yǐ méng yīngyún . wǒ shì yīn nǐde yányǔ ér lái .

Then he continued, “Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them.
13 Dàn Bōsī guó de mó jūn lánzǔ wǒ èr shí yī rì . hūrán yǒu dà jūn ( jiù shì tiānshǐ zhǎng . èr shí yī jié tóng ) zhōng de yī wèi Mǐjiā lēi lái bāngzhu wǒ , wǒ jiù tíng liú zaì Bōsī zhū wáng nàli .

But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia.
14 Xiànzaì wǒ lái , yào shǐ nǐ míngbai bĕn guó zhī mín rìhòu bì zāoyù de shì , yīnwei zhè yìxiàng guān hū hòulái xǔduō de rìzi .

Now I have come to explain to you what will happen to your people in the future, for the vision concerns a time yet to come.”
15 Tā xiàng wǒ zhèyàng shuō , wǒ jiù liǎnmiàn zhāo dì , yē kǒu wú shēng .

While he was saying this to me, I bowed with my face toward the ground and was speechless.
16 Búliào , yǒu yī wèi xiàng rén de , mó wǒde zuǐchún , wǒ biàn kāikǒu xiàng nà zhàn zaì wǒ miànqián de shuō , wǒ zhǔ a , yīn jiàn zhè yìxiàng , wǒ dàdà chóukǔ , haó wú qì lì .

Then one who looked like a man touched my lips, and I opened my mouth and began to speak. I said to the one standing before me, “I am overcome with anguish because of the vision, my lord, and I feel very weak.
17 Wǒ zhǔ de púrén zĕn néng yǔ wǒ zhǔ shuōhuà ne . wǒ yī jiàn yìxiàng jiù húnshēn wúlì , haó wú qìxī .

How can I, your servant, talk with you, my lord? My strength is gone and I can hardly breathe.”
18 Yǒu yī wèi xíngzhuàng xiàng rén de yòu mó wǒ , shǐ wǒ yǒulì liáng .

Again the one who looked like a man touched me and gave me strength.
19 Tā shuō , dà méng juàn aì de rén nǎ , búyào jùpà , yuàn nǐ píngān . nǐ zǒng yào jiān qiáng . tā yī xiàng wǒ shuōhuà , wǒ biàn juéde yǒulì liáng , shuō , wǒ zhǔ qǐng shuō , yīn nǐ shǐ wǒ yǒulì liáng .

“Do not be afraid, you who are highly esteemed,” he said. “Peace! Be strong now; be strong.” When he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, “Speak, my lord, since you have given me strength.”
20 Tā jiù shuō , nǐ zhīdào wǒ wèihé lái jiàn nǐ ma . xiànzaì wǒ yào huí qù yǔ Bōsī de mó jūn zhēng zhàn , wǒ qù hòu , xī là ( yuánwén zuò Yǎwán ) de mó jūn bì lái .

So he said, “Do you know why I have come to you? Soon I will return to fight against the prince of Persia, and when I go, the prince of Greece will come;
21 Dàn wǒ yào jiāng nà lù zaì zhēn què shū shang de shì gàosu nǐ . chúle nǐmen de dà jūn Mǐjiā lēi zhī waì , méiyǒu bāngzhu wǒ dǐdǎng zhè liǎng mó jūn de .

but first I will tell you what is written in the Book of Truth. (No one supports me against them except Michael, your prince.
