1 Poi, con le stoffe tinte in violaceo, porporino e scarlatto, fecero de’ paramenti cerimoniali ben lavorati per le funzioni nel santuario, e fecero i paramenti sacri per Aaronne, come l’Eterno aveva ordinato a Mosè.

2 Si fece l’efod, d’oro, di filo violaceo, porporino, scarlatto, e di lino fino ritorto.

3 E batteron l’oro in lamine e lo tagliarono in fili, per intesserlo nella stoffa violacea, porporina, scarlatta, e nel lino fino, e farne un lavoro artistico.

4 Gli fecero delle spallette, unite assieme; in guisa che l’efod era tenuto assieme mediante le sue due estremità.

5 E la cintura artistica che era sull’efod per fissarlo, era tutta d’un pezzo con l’efod, e del medesimo lavoro d’esso: cioè, d’oro, di filo violaceo, porporino, scarlatto, e di lino fino ritorto, come l’Eterno aveva ordinato a Mosè.

6 Poi lavorarono le pietre d’onice, incastrate in castoni d’oro, sulle quali incisero i nomi de’ figliuoli d’Israele, come s’incidono i sigilli.

7 E le misero sulle spallette dell’efod, come pietre di ricordanza per i figliuoli d’Israele, nel modo che l’Eterno aveva ordinato a Mosè.

8 Poi si fece il pettorale, artisticamente lavorato, come il lavoro dell’efod: d’oro, di filo violaceo, porporino, scarlatto, e di lino fino ritorto.

9 Il pettorale era quadrato; e lo fecero doppio; avea la lunghezza d’una spanna e una spanna di larghezza; era doppio.

10 E v’incastonarono quattro ordini di pietre; nel primo ordine v’era un sardonio, un topazio e uno smeraldo;

11 nel secondo ordine, un rubino, uno zaffiro, un calcedonio;

12 nel terzo ordine, un’opale, un’agata, un’ametista;

13 nel quarto ordine, un grisolito, un onice e un diaspro. Queste pietre erano incastrate nei loro castoni d’oro.

14 E le pietre corrispondevano ai nomi dei figliuoli d’Israele, ed erano dodici, secondo i loro nomi; erano incise come de’ sigilli, ciascuna col nome d’una delle dodici tribù.

15 Fecero pure sul pettorale delle catenelle d’oro puro, intrecciate a mo’ di cordoni.

16 E fecero due castoni d’oro e due anelli d’oro, e misero i due anelli alle due estremità del pettorale.

17 E fissarono i due cordoni d’oro ai due anelli alle estremità del pettorale;

18 e attaccarono gli altri due capi dei due cordoni d’oro ai due castoni, e li misero sulle due spallette dell’efod, sul davanti.

19 Fecero anche due anelli d’oro e li misero alle altre due estremità del pettorale, sull’orlo interiore vòlto verso l’efod.

20 E fecero due altri anelli d’oro, e li misero alle due spallette dell’efod, in basso, sul davanti, vicino al punto dove avveniva la giuntura, al disopra della cintura artistica dell’efod.

21 E attaccarono il pettorale mediante i suoi anelli agli anelli dell’efod con un cordone violaceo, affinché il pettorale fosse al disopra della banda artisticamente lavorata dell’efod, e non si potesse staccare dall’efod; come l’Eterno aveva ordinato a Mosè.

22 Si fece pure il manto dell’efod, di lavoro tessuto tutto di color violaceo,

23 e l’apertura, in mezzo al manto, per passarvi il capo: apertura, come quella d’una corazza, con all’intorno un’orlatura tessuta, perché non si strappasse.

24 E all’orlo inferiore del manto fecero delle melagrane di color violaceo, porporino e scarlatto, di filo ritorto.

25 E fecero de’ sonagli d’oro puro; e posero i sonagli in mezzo alle melagrane all’orlo inferiore del manto, tutt’all’intorno, fra le melagrane:

26 un sonaglio e una melagrana, un sonaglio e una melagrana, sull’orlatura del manto, tutt’all’intorno, per fare il servizio, come l’Eterno aveva ordinato a Mosè.

27 Si fecero pure le tuniche di lino fino, di lavoro tessuto, per Aaronne e per i suoi figliuoli,

28 e la mitra di lino fino e le tiare di lino fino da servir come ornamento e le brache di lino fino ritorto,

29 e la cintura di lino fino ritorto, di color violaceo, porporino, scarlatto, in lavoro di ricamo, come l’Eterno aveva ordinato a Mosè.

30 E fecero d’oro puro la lamina del sacro diadema, e v’incisero, come s’incide sopra un sigillo: SANTO ALL’ETERNO.

31 E v’attaccarono un nastro violaceo per fermarla sulla mitra, in alto, come l’Eterno aveva ordinato a Mosè.

32 Così fu finito tutto il lavoro del tabernacolo e della tenda di convegno. I Figliuoli d’Israele fecero interamente come l’Eterno aveva ordinato a Mosè; fecero a quel modo.

33 Poi portarono a Mosè il tabernacolo, la tenda e tutti i suoi utensili, i suoi fermagli, le sue tavole le sue traverse, le sue colonne, le sue basi;

34 la coperta di pelli di montone tinte in rosso, la coperta di pelli di delfino e il velo di separazione;

35 l’arca della testimonianza con le sue stanghe, e il propiziatorio;

36 la tavola con tutti i suoi utensili e il pane della presentazione;

37 il candelabro d’oro puro con le sue lampade, le lampade disposte in ordine, tutti i suoi utensili, e l’olio per il candelabro;

38 l’altare d’oro, l’olio dell’unzione, il profumo fragrante, e la portiera per l’ingresso della tenda;

39 l’altare di rame, la sua gratella di rame, le sue stanghe e tutti i suoi utensili, la conca con la sua base;

40 le cortine del cortile, le sue colonne con le sue basi, la portiera per l’ingresso del cortile, i cordami del cortile, i suoi piuoli e tutti gli utensili per il servizio del tabernacolo, per la tenda di convegno;

41 i paramenti cerimoniali per le funzioni nel santuario, i paramenti sacri per il sacerdote Aaronne e i paramenti de’ suoi figliuoli per esercitare il sacerdozio.

42 I figliuoli d’Israele eseguirono tutto il lavoro, secondo che l’Eterno aveva ordinato a Mosè.

43 E Mosè vide tutto il lavoro; ed ecco, essi l’aveano eseguito come l’Eterno aveva ordinato; l’aveano eseguito a quel modo. E Mosè li benedisse.

1 9 And from the turquoise, and purple, and scarlet wool, they made bigdei serad (elaborately woven garments) for service in HaKadosh, and made Bigdei Hakodesh for Aharon; as Hashem commanded Moshe.

2 And he [Bezalel] made the Ephod of zahav, turquoise, and purple, and scarlet wool, and twisted fine linen.

3 And they did hammer the zahav into thin sheets, and cut threads, to work into the turquoise, and into the purple, and into the fine linen, the artistic weaver’s work.

4 They made attaching ketefot (shoulder straps) for it, which were attached to its two [upper] ends.

5 And the Cheishev (Belt) of his Ephod, which is upon it, was of the same according to the work thereof; of zahav, turquoise, and purple, and scarlet wool, and twisted linen; as Hashem commanded Moshe.

6 And they made the avnei shoham (onyx stones), set in settings of zahav, engraved, like chotam (signet ring) is engraved, according to the Shemot Bnei Yisroel.

7 And he fastened them upon the Kitfot HaEphod, that they should be Avnei Zikaron (Memorial Stones) unto the Bnei Yisroel; as Hashem commanded Moshe.

8 And he made the Choshen of artistic weaver’s work, like the workmanship of the Ephod; of zahav, turquoise, and purple, and scarlet wool, and fine twisted linen.

9 It was ravu’a (square); they made the Choshen folded double; a span was the length thereof, and a span the width thereof, being doubled.

10 And they set in it four rows of gemstones; the first row was an odem, a pitdah, and barekes; this was the first row.

11 And the second row, a nofech, sapphire, and yahalom.

12 And the third row, a leshem, shevo, and achlamah.

13 And the fourth row, a tarshish, shoham, and yashfeh; they were set in zahav in their settings.

14 And the gemstones were according to the Shemot Bnei Yisroel, Shteym Esreh (Twelve), according to their Shemot, like the engravings of a chotam (signet ring), every one with shmo, according to the Shnei Asar Shevet.

15 And they made upon the Choshen sharsherot (chains) at the ends braided artistic work of zahav tahor.

16 And they made two mishbetzot (filigrees) of zahav, and two rings of zahav; and put the two rings in the two ends of the Choshen.

17 And they fastened the two ropes of zahav into the two rings on the ends of the Choshen.

18 And the [other] two ends of the two ropes they fastened in the two filigree settings, and put them on the ketefot HaEphod toward its front.

19 And they made two rings of zahav, and put them on the two ends of the Choshen, upon the lower border therof, on the inside toward the Ephod.

20 And they made two other rings of zahav, and put them on the two kitfot HaEphod on the bottom, toward the front thereof, opposite the seam thereof, above the Cheishev HaEphod.

21 And they did bind the Choshen by its rings unto the rings of the Ephod with a turquoise woolen cord, that it might be above the Cheishev HaEphod, and that the Choshen might not be loosed from the Ephod; as Hashem commanded Moshe.

22 And he made the Me’il HaEphod of artistic weaver’s work, all of turquoise wool.

23 And there was a head opening in the top of the Me’il, in its center, like the opening of a coat of mail, with a border all around about the head opening, that it should not be torn.

24 And they made upon the hems of the Me’il pomegranates of turquoise, and purple, and scarlet wool, and twisted linen.

25 And they made bells of zahav tahor, and put the bells between the pomegranates upon the hem of the Me’il, all around between the pomegranates;

26 A bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, all around the hem of the Me’il to minister in; as Hashem commanded Moshe.

27 And they made the kuttanot (tunics) of fine linen of artistic weaver’s work for Aharon, and for his banim,

28 And a Mitznefet of fine linen, Pa’arei HaMigba’ot of fine linen, mikhnesei bahd,

29 And an Avnet of fine linen, and turquoise, and purple, and scarlet wool, of artistic embroidery; as Hashem commanded Moshe.

30 And they made the Tzitz Nezer HaKodesh of zahav tahor, and engraved upon it an inscription, like to the engravings of a chotam, KODESH LAHASHEM.

31 And they tied unto it a turquoise cord, to fasten it on the Mitznefet above; as Hashem commanded Moshe.

32 Thus was all the work of the Mishkan of the Ohel Mo’ed finished; and the Bnei Yisroel did according to all that Hashem commanded Moshe, so did they.

33 And they brought the Mishkan unto Moshe, the Ohel, and all its utensils, its hooks, its kerashim, its crossbars, and its ammudim, and its sockets,

34 And the Mikhseh of reddyed ram skins, and the Mikhseh of tachash skins, and the Parochet HaMasach,

35 The Aron HaEdut, and the carrying poles thereof, and the Kapporet,

36 The Shulchan, and all the utensils thereof, and the Lechem HaPanim,

37 The Menorah Hatehorah, with the nerot (lamps) thereof, even with the nerot (lamps) of the order prescribed, and all the utensils thereof, and the Shemen HaMaohr,

38 And the Mizbe’ach Hazahav, and the Shemen HaMishchah, and the aromatic ketoret, and the Masach petach HaOhel,

39 The Mizbe’ach Hanechoshet, and its mikhbar hanechoshet (grate, netting of copper), its carrying poles, and all its utensils, the Kiyor and its Stand,

40 The curtains of the khatzer (courtyard), its ammudim, and its sockets, and the masach Sha’ar HaKhatzer, its cords, and its tent pegs, and all the utensils of the Avodas HaMishkan, for the Ohel Mo’ed,

41 The bigdei serad for service in HaKadosh, and the Bigdei Hakodesh for Aharon the kohen, and the garments of his banim, to minister in the kohen’s office.

42 According to all that Hashem commanded Moshe, so the Bnei Yisroel did kol haAvodah.

43 And Moshe did inspect all the work, and, hinei, they had done it as Hashem had commanded, even so had they done it; vayevarech otam Moshe (and Moshe blessed them).
