CSB 1 The Lord spoke to Moses: NIV 1 Then the LORD said to Moses: CSB 2 "You are to set up the tabernacle, the tent of meeting, on the first day of the first month. CSB 18 Moses set up the tabernacle: he laid its bases, positioned its planks, inserted its crossbars, and set up its posts. CSB 19 Then he spread the tent over the tabernacle and put the covering of the tent on top of it, just as the Lord had commanded Moses. CSB 20 Moses took the testimony and placed [it] in the ark, and attached the poles to the ark. He set the mercy seat on top of the ark. CSB 21 He brought the ark into the tabernacle, put up the veil for the screen, and screened off the ark of the testimony, just as the Lord had commanded him. NIV 21 Then he brought the ark into the tabernacle and hung the shielding curtain and shielded the ark of the covenant law, as the LORD commanded him. CSB 22 Moses placed the table in the tent of meeting on the north side of the tabernacle, outside the veil. NIV 29 He set the altar of burnt offering near the entrance to the tabernacle, the tent of meeting, and offered on it burnt offerings and grain offerings, as the LORD commanded him. CSB 30 He set the basin between the tent of meeting and the altar and put water in it for washing. CSB 34 The cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. NIV 34 Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. CSB 35 Moses was unable to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud rested on it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. NIV 35 Moses could not enter the tent of meeting because the cloud had settled on it, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. CSB 36 The Israelites set out whenever the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle throughout all the stages of their journey. NIV 36 In all the travels of the Israelites, whenever the cloud lifted from above the tabernacle, they would set out; CSB 37 If the cloud was not taken up, they did not set out until the day it was taken up. NIV 37 but if the cloud did not lift, they did not set out—until the day it lifted. CSB 38 For the cloud of the Lord was over the tabernacle by day, and there was a fire inside the cloud by night, visible to the entire house of Israel throughout all the stages of their journey. NIV 38 So the cloud of the LORD was over the tabernacle by day, and fire was in the cloud by night, in the sight of all the Israelites during all their travels.
