1 Mensaje para el rey de Tiro<br />Después recibí este mensaje del Señor<br />:

2 «Hijo de hombre, dale al príncipe de Tiro este mensaje de parte del Señor<br /> Soberano:<br />»“En tu gran arrogancia afirmaste: ‘¡Soy un dios!<br />Estoy sentado en un trono divino, en el corazón del mar’;<br />pero eres solo un hombre y no un dios,<br />aunque te jactes de ser un dios.

3 Te crees más sabio que Daniel<br />y piensas que ningún secreto está oculto de ti.

4 Con tu sabiduría y entendimiento has acumulado mucha riqueza:<br />oro y plata para tus tesoros.

5 Sí, tu sabiduría te hizo muy rico,<br />y tus riquezas muy orgulloso.

6 »”Por lo tanto, esto dice el Señor<br /> Soberano:<br />ya que te crees tan sabio como un dios,

7 haré que te ataque un ejército extranjero,<br />el terror de las naciones.<br />¡Ellos desenvainarán sus espadas contra tu maravillosa sabiduría<br />y profanarán tu esplendor!

8 Te hundirán en la fosa,<br />y morirás en el corazón del mar,<br />traspasado de muchas heridas.

9 ¿Te jactarás, entonces, diciendo: ‘¡Soy un dios!’<br />frente a tus asesinos?<br />¡Para ellos no serás un dios<br />sino un simple hombre!

10 Morirás como un pagano<br />en manos de extranjeros.<br />¡Yo, el Señor<br /> Soberano, he hablado!”».

11 Luego recibí otro mensaje más del Señor<br />:

12 «Hijo de hombre, entona este canto fúnebre para el rey de Tiro. Dale este mensaje de parte del Señor<br /> Soberano:<br />»“Tú eras el modelo de la perfección,<br />lleno de sabiduría y de exquisita belleza.

13 Estabas en el Edén,<br />el jardín de Dios.<br />Tenías la ropa adornada con toda clase de piedras preciosas<br />—cornalina rojiza, peridoto verde pálido, adularia blanca,<br />berilo azul y verde, ónice, jaspe verde,<br />lapislázuli, turquesa y esmeralda—,<br />todas talladas especialmente para ti<br />e incrustadas en el oro más puro.<br />Te las dieron<br />el día en que fuiste creado.

14 Yo te ordené y te ungí<br />como poderoso ángel guardián.<br />Tenías acceso al monte santo de Dios<br />y caminabas entre las piedras de fuego.

15 »Eras intachable en todo lo que hacías,<br />desde el día en que fuiste creado<br />hasta el día en que se encontró maldad en ti.

16 Tu abundante comercio te llevó a la violencia,<br />y pecaste.<br />Entonces te expulsé en deshonra<br />de la montaña de Dios.<br />Te eché, guardián poderoso,<br />del lugar que tenías entre las piedras de fuego.

17 Tu corazón se llenó de orgullo<br />debido a tu gran belleza.<br />Tu sabiduría se corrompió<br />a causa de tu amor por el esplendor.<br />Entonces te arrojé al suelo<br />y te expuse a la mirada curiosa de los reyes.

18 Profanaste tus santuarios<br />con tus muchos pecados y tu comercio deshonesto.<br />Entonces hice brotar fuego de tu interior<br />y te consumió.<br />Te reduje a cenizas en el suelo<br />a la vista de todos los que te miraban.

19 Todos los que te conocían se horrorizaron por tu destino.<br />Has llegado a un final terrible,<br />y dejarás de existir”».

20 Mensaje para Sidón<br />Luego recibí otro mensaje del Señor<br />:

21 «Hijo de hombre, ponte de cara a la ciudad de Sidón y profetiza contra ella.

22 Dale a la gente de Sidón este mensaje de parte del Señor<br /> Soberano:<br />»“Oh Sidón, yo soy tu enemigo,<br />y revelaré mi gloria en lo que te haré.<br />Cuando traiga juicio sobre ti<br />revelaré mi santidad en medio de ti<br />y todos los que observen sabrán<br />que yo soy el Señor<br />.

23 Enviaré una plaga contra ti<br />y correrá sangre por tus calles.<br />El ataque llegará de todas direcciones<br />y tu gente quedará masacrada dentro de tus murallas.<br />Entonces todos sabrán<br />que yo soy el Señor<br />.

24 Los vecinos burlones de Israel ya no la provocarán<br />punzándola y desgarrándola como zarzas y espinos.<br />Pues entonces sabrán<br />que yo soy el Señor<br /> Soberano”.

25 Restauración de Israel<br />»Esto dice el Señor<br /> Soberano: el pueblo de Israel volverá a vivir en su propio país, la tierra que le di a mi siervo Jacob. Pues reuniré a los israelitas de entre las tierras lejanas adonde los había esparcido. A la vista de las naciones del mundo, revelaré mi santidad en mi pueblo.

26 En Israel, ellos vivirán seguros, construirán casas y cultivarán viñedos; y cuando yo castigue a las naciones vecinas que los trataron con desprecio, ellos sabrán que yo soy el Señor<br /> su Dios».

1 The word of the LORD came to me:

2 “Son of man, say to the ruler of Tyre, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: “ ‘In the pride of your heart you say, “I am a god; I sit on the throne of a god in the heart of the seas.” But you are a mere mortal and not a god, though you think you are as wise as a god.

3 Are you wiser than Daniel ? Is no secret hidden from you?

4 By your wisdom and understanding you have gained wealth for yourself and amassed gold and silver in your treasuries.

5 By your great skill in trading you have increased your wealth, and because of your wealth your heart has grown proud.

6 “ ‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: “ ‘Because you think you are wise, as wise as a god,

7 I am going to bring foreigners against you, the most ruthless of nations; they will draw their swords against your beauty and wisdom and pierce your shining splendor.

8 They will bring you down to the pit, and you will die a violent death in the heart of the seas.

9 Will you then say, “I am a god,” in the presence of those who kill you? You will be but a mortal, not a god, in the hands of those who slay you.

10 You will die the death of the uncircumcised at the hands of foreigners. I have spoken, declares the Sovereign LORD.’ ”

11 The word of the LORD came to me:

12 “Son of man, take up a lament concerning the king of Tyre and say to him: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: “ ‘You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.

13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone adorned you: carnelian, chrysolite and emerald, topaz, onyx and jasper, lapis lazuli, turquoise and beryl.Your settings and mountings were made of gold; on the day you were created they were prepared.

14 You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones.

15 You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you.

16 Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned. So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God, and I expelled you, guardian cherub, from among the fiery stones.

17 Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So I threw you to the earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings.

18 By your many sins and dishonest trade you have desecrated your sanctuaries. So I made a fire come out from you, and it consumed you, and I reduced you to ashes on the ground in the sight of all who were watching.

19 All the nations who knew you are appalled at you; you have come to a horrible end and will be no more.’ ”

20 The word of the LORD came to me:

21 “Son of man, set your face against Sidon; prophesy against her

22 and say: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: “ ‘I am against you, Sidon, and among you I will display my glory. You will know that I am the LORD, when I inflict punishment on you and within you am proved to be holy.

23 I will send a plague upon you and make blood flow in your streets. The slain will fall within you, with the sword against you on every side. Then you will know that I am the LORD.

24 “ ‘No longer will the people of Israel have malicious neighbors who are painful briers and sharp thorns. Then they will know that I am the Sovereign LORD.

25 “ ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: When I gather the people of Israel from the nations where they have been scattered, I will be proved holy through them in the sight of the nations. Then they will live in their own land, which I gave to my servant Jacob.

26 They will live there in safety and will build houses and plant vineyards; they will live in safety when I inflict punishment on all their neighbors who maligned them. Then they will know that I am the LORD their God.’ ”
