1 Y FUÉ á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

And the word of Yahweh {came} to me, {saying},
2 Hijo del hombre, profetiza, y di: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Aullad: ¡Ay del día!

"Son of man, prophesy, and you must say, 'thus says the Lord Yahweh: "Wail, alas! For the day!
3 Porque cerca está el día, cerca está el día del Señor; día de nublado, día de las gentes será.
3
For a day [is] near; indeed, a day [is] near for Yahweh. A day of cloud, a time of [the] nations it will be.
4 Y vendrá espada á Egipto, y habrá miedo en Etiopía, cuando caerán heridos en Egipto; y tomarán su multitud, y serán destruídos sus fundamentos.

And a sword will come in Egypt, and anguish will be in Cush, at the falling of [the] slain in Egypt. And they will take its wealth, and its foundation will be demolished.
5 Etiopía, y Libia, y Lidia, y todo el conjunto de pueblo, y Chûb, y los hijos de la tierra de la liga, caerán con ellos á cuchillo.

Cush and Put and Lud and all of Arabia and Kub and the people of the land of the treaty with them--by the sword they will fall."
6 Así ha dicho Jehová: También caerán los que sostienen á Egipto, y la altivez de su fortaleza caerá: desde Migdol hasta Seveneh caerán en él á cuchillo, dice el Señor Jehová.

Thus says Yahweh: "And the supporters of Egypt will fall, and the majesty of its strength will go down from Migdol [to] Syene; by the sword they will fall in it," {declares}<note: Literally "declaration of"> the Lord Yahweh.
7 Y serán asolados entre las tierras asoladas, y sus ciudades serán entre las ciudades desiertas.

"And they will be desolate in the midst of desolate countries, and its cities will be in the midst of ruined cities.
8 Y sabrán que yo soy Jehová, cuando pusiere fuego á Egipto, y fueren quebrantados todos sus ayudadores.

And they will know that I [am] Yahweh when I put my fire in Egypt, and all of its helpers are broken.
9 En aquel tiempo saldrán mensajeros de delante de mí en navíos, á espantar á Etiopía la confiada, y tendrán espanto como en el día de Egipto: porque he aquí viene.

On that day messengers will go down from {before me} in the ships to terrify unsuspecting Cush, and anguish will be in them on the day of Egypt; for look, [it is] coming!"
10 Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Haré cesar la multitud de Egipto por mano de Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia.

Thus says the Lord Yahweh: "And I will put an end to the crowds<note: Or "hordes"> of Egypt by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon.
11 El, y con él su pueblo, los más fuertes de las gentes, serán traídos á destruir la tierra: y desenvainarán sus espadas sobre Egipto, y henchirán la tierra de muertos.

He and his people with him, [the most] ruthless of nations, [will] be brought to destroy the land. And they will draw their swords against Egypt, and they will fill the land [with] [the] slain,
12 Y secaré los ríos, y entregaré la tierra en manos de malos, y destruiré la tierra y su plenitud por mano de extranjeros: yo Jehová he hablado.

and I will make the Nile streams dry land, and I will sell the land into [the] hand of bad [people], and I will lay waste [the] land and its fullness by [the] hand of strangers. I, Yahweh, I have spoken."
13 Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Destruiré también las imágenes, y haré cesar los ídolos de Memphis; y no habrá más príncipe de la tierra de Egipto, y en la tierra de Egipto pondré temor.

Thus says the Lord Yahweh: "And I will destroy [the] idols, and I will put an end to [the] worthless idols from Memphis. And there will {no longer be}<note: Literally "not be any longer"> a prince from the land of Egypt, and I will put fear in the land of Egypt.
14 Y asolaré á Patros, y pondré fuego á Zoán, y haré juicios en No.

And I will lay waste Pathros, and I will set fire in Zoan, and I will execute judgments in No.
15 Y derramaré mi ira sobre Sin, fortaleza de Egipto, y talaré la multitud de No.

I will pour out my rage over Sin, the stronghold of Egypt, and I will cut off the crowd of No.
16 Y pondré fuego á Egipto; Sin tendrá gran dolor, y No será destrozada, y Memphis tendrá continuas angustias.
16
And I will set fire in Egypt, certainly Sin will writhe, and No will be breached, and Memphis [will] face enemies {daily}.
17 Los mancebos de Avén y de Pibeseth caerán á cuchillo; y ellas irán en cautiverio.

The young men of On and Pi Beseth will fall by the sword, and they will go into captivity.
18 Y en Tehaphnes será cerrado el día, cuando quebrantaré yo allí las barras de Egipto, y cesará en ella la soberbia de su fortaleza: nublado la cubrirá, y los moradores de sus aldeas irán en cautiverio.

And at Tahpanhes the day will become dark when I break the yoke of Egypt, and in it the majesty of its strength will come to an end. A cloud will cover it, and its daughters will go into captivity.
19 Haré pues juicios en Egipto y sabrán que yo soy Jehová.

And I will execute judgments in Egypt, and they will know that I [am] Yahweh."
20 Y aconteció en el año undécimo, en el mes primero, á los siete del mes, que fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
20
{And then} {in the eleventh} year, in the first [month], on the seventh [day] of the month, the word of Yahweh {came} to me, {saying},
21 Hijo del hombre, quebrantado he el brazo de Faraón rey de Egipto; y he aquí que no ha sido vendado poniéndo le medicinas, poniéndole faja para ligarlo, á fin de vigorizarle para que pueda tener espada.

"Son of man, the arm of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, I have broken. And look, it has not been bound up for giving of a remedy, or for [the] placing of a splint to bind it [up] to make it strong to take hold of the sword."
22 Por tanto, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Heme aquí contra Faraón rey de Egipto, y quebraré sus brazos, el fuerte y el fracturado, y haré que la espada se le caiga de la mano.

Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: "Look! I [am] against Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and I will break his strong arm and the broken [arm], and I will let the sword fall from his hand.
23 Y esparciré los Egipcios entre las gentes, y aventarélos por las tierras.

And I will scatter Egypt among the nations, and I will disperse them among the countries.
24 Y fortificaré los brazos del rey de Babilonia, y pondré mi espada en su mano; mas quebraré los brazos de Faraón, y delante de aquél gemirá con gemidos de herido de muerte.

And I will strengthen the arm of the king of Babylon, and I will give my sword into his hand, and I will break the arms of Pharaoh, and he will groan [with the] groaning of [the] mortally wounded {before him}.
25 Fortificaré pues los brazos del rey de Babilonia, y los brazos de Faraón caerán; y sabrán que yo soy Jehová, cuando yo pusiere mi espada en la mano del rey de Babilonia, y él la extendiere sobre la tierra de Egipto.

And I will strengthen the arm of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharaoh will fall. And they will know that I [am] Yahweh when I give my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will stretch it out to the land of Egypt.
26 Y esparciré los Egipcios entre las gentes, y los aventaré por las tierras; y sabrán que yo soy Jehová.

And I will scatter Egypt among the nations, and I will disperse them into the countries, and they will know that I [am] Yahweh."
