1 Questa è la posterità dei figliuoli di Noè: Sem, Cam e Jafet; e a loro nacquero de’ figliuoli, dopo il diluvio.

0 Now these are the toldot of the Bnei Noach: Shem, Cham, and Yephet; and unto them were banim born after the mabbul (flood).
2 I figliuoli di Jafet furono Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Mescec e Tiras.

The Bnei Yephet: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Yavan, and Tuval, and Meshech, and Tiras.
3 I figliuoli di Gomer: Ashkenaz, Rifat e Togarma.

And the Bnei Gomer: Ashkenaz, and Riphat, and Togarmah.
4 I figliuoli di Javan: Elisha, Tarsis, Kittim e Dodanim.

And the Bnei Yavan: Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
5 Da essi vennero i popoli sparsi nelle isole delle nazioni, nei loro diversi paesi, ciascuno secondo la propria lingua, secondo le loro famiglie, nelle loro nazioni.

By these were the coastlands of the Goyim divided in their lands; every one after his leshon, after their mishpechot, in their Goyim.
6 I figliuoli di Cam furono Cush, Mitsraim, Put e Canaan.

And the Bnei Cham: Cush, and Mitzrayim, and Phut, and Kena’an.
7 I figliuoli di Cush: Seba, Havila, Sabta, Raama e Sabteca; e i figliuoli di Raama: Sceba e Dedan.

And the Bnei Cush: Seva, and Chavilah, and Savtah, and Raamah, and Savtecha; and the Bnei Raamah: Sheva, and Dedan.
8 E Cush generò Nimrod, che cominciò a esser potente sulla terra.

And Cush fathered Nimrod; he began to be a gibbor in ha’aretz.
9 Egli fu un potente cacciatore nei cospetto dell’Eterno; perciò si dice: "Come Nimrod, potente cacciatore nel cospetto dell’Eterno".

He was a gibbor, a hunter before Hashem; therefore it is said, like Nimrod the gibbor, the hunter before Hashem.
10 E il principio del suo regno fu Babel, Erec, Accad e Calne nel paese di Scinear.

And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Akkad, and Calneh, in Eretz Shinar.
11 Da quel paese andò in Assiria ed edificò Ninive, Rehoboth-Ir e Calah;

Out of that land he went forth to Asshur, and built Nineveh, and Rechovot-Ir, and Kelach,
12 e, fra Ninive e Calah, Resen, la gran città.

And Resen between Nineveh and Kelach; the same is haIr Hagedolah.
13 Mitsraim generò i Ludim, gli Anamim, i Lehabim, i Naftuhim,

And Mitzrayim fathered Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehavim, and Naphtuchim,
14 i Pathrusim, i Casluhim (donde uscirono i Filistei) e i Caftorim.

And Patrusim, and Casluchim, out of whom came Pelishtim (Philistines), and Caphtorim.
15 Canaan generò Sidon, suo primogenito, e Heth,

And Kena’an fathered Tzidon his bechor, and Chet,
16 e i Gebusei, gli Amorei, i Ghirgasei,

And the Yevusi, and the Emori, and the Girgashi,
17 gli Hivvei, gli Archei, i Sinei,

And the Chivvi, and the Arki, and the Sini,
18 gli Arvadei, i Tsemarei e gli Hamattei. Poi le famiglie dei Cananei si sparsero.

And the Arvadi, and the Tzemari, and the Chamati; and afterward were the mishpechot haKena’ani spread abroad.
19 E i confini dei Cananei andarono da Sidon, in direzione di Gherar, fino a Gaza; e in direzione di Sodoma, Gomorra, Adma e Tseboim, fino a Lesha.

And the boundary of the Kena’ani was from Tzidon, as thou comest to Gerar, unto Azah (Gaza); as thou goest, unto Sodom, and Amora (Gomorrah), and Admah, and Tzevoyim, even unto Lesha.
20 Questi sono i figliuoli di Cam, secondo le loro famiglie, secondo le loro lingue, nei loro paesi, nelle loro nazioni.

These are the Bnei Cham, after their mishpechot, after their leshonot, in their territories, and in their Goyim.
21 Anche a Sem, padre di tutti i figliuoli di Eber e fratello maggiore di Jafet, nacquero de’ figliuoli.

Also unto Shem avi kol Bnei Ever, and the older brother of Yephet, even to him were offspring born.
22 I figliuoli di Sem furono Elam, Assur, Arpacshad, Lud e Aram.

The Bnei Shem: Elam, and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram.
23 I figliuoli di Aram: Uz, Hul, Gheter e Mash.

And Bnei Aram: Uz, and Chul, and Geter, and Mash.
24 E Arpacshad generò Scelah, e Scelah generò Eber.

And Arpachshad fathered Shelach; and Shelach fathered Ever.
25 E ad Eber nacquero due figliuoli; il nome dell’uno fu Peleg, perché ai suoi giorni la terra fu spartita; e il nome del suo fratello fu Jokthan.

And unto Ever were born two banim: the shem of one was Peleg; for in his days was ha’aretz divided; and his brother’s shem was Yoktan.
26 E Jokthan generò Almodad, Scelef, Hatsarmaveth,

And Yoktan fathered Almodad, and Sheleph, and Chatzarmavet, and Yerach,
27 Jerah, Hadoram, Uzal,

And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
28 Diklah, Obal, Abimael, Sceba,

And Oval, and Avimael, and Sheva,
29 Ofir, Havila e Jobab. Tutti questi furono figliuoli di Jokthan.

And Ophir, and Chavilah, and Yovav; all these were the Bnei Yoktan.
30 E la loro dimora fu la montagna orientale, da Mesha, fin verso Sefar.

And their moshav (dwelling) was from Mesha, as thou goest unto Sephar har hakedem.
31 Questi sono i figliuoli di Sem, secondo le loro famiglie, secondo le loro lingue, nei loro paesi, secondo le loro nazioni.

These are the Bnei Shem, after their mishpechot, according to their leshonot, in their territories, after their Goyim.
32 Queste sono le famiglie dei figliuoli di Noè secondo le loro generazioni, nelle loro nazioni; e da essi uscirono le nazioni che si sparsero per la terra dopo il diluvio.

These are the mishpechot of the Bnei Noach, after their toldot, in their Goyim; and by these were the Goyim divided/separated in ha’aretz after the mabbul.
