1 Dios, habiendo hablado hace mucho tiempo, en muchas ocasiones y de muchas maneras a los padres por los profetas,

2 en estos últimos días nos ha hablado por su Hijo, a quien constituyó heredero de todas las cosas, por medio de quien hizo también el universo.

3 El es el resplandor de su gloria y la expresión exacta de su naturaleza, y sostiene todas las cosas por la palabra de su poder. Después de llevar a cabo la purificación de los pecados, se sentó a la diestra de la Majestad en las alturas,

4 siendo mucho mejor que los ángeles, por cuanto ha heredado un nombre más excelente que ellos.

5 Porque ¿a cuál de los ángeles dijo Dios jamás: HIJO MIO ERES TU, YO TE HE ENGENDRADO HOY; y otra vez: YO SERE PADRE PARA EL, Y EL SERA HIJO PARA MI?

6 Y de nuevo, cuando trae al Primogénito al mundo , dice: Y ADORENLE TODOS LOS ANGELES DE DIOS.

7 Y de los ángeles dice: EL QUE HACE A SUS ANGELES, ESPIRITUS, Y A SUS MINISTROS, LLAMA DE FUEGO.

8 Pero del Hijo dice: TU TRONO, OH DIOS, ES POR LOS SIGLOS DE LOS SIGLOS, Y CETRO DE EQUIDAD ES EL CETRO DE TU REINO.

9 HAS AMADO LA JUSTICIA Y ABORRECIDO LA INIQUIDAD; POR LO CUAL DIOS, TU DIOS, TE HA UNGIDO CON OLEO DE ALEGRIA MAS QUE A TUS COMPAÑEROS.

10 Y: TU, SEÑOR, EN EL PRINCIPIO PUSISTE LOS CIMIENTOS DE LA TIERRA, Y LOS CIELOS SON OBRA DE TUS MANOS;

11 ELLOS PERECERAN, PERO TU PERMANECES; Y TODOS ELLOS COMO UNA VESTIDURA SE ENVEJECERAN,

12 Y COMO UN MANTO LOS ENROLLARAS; COMO UNA VESTIDURA SERAN MUDADOS. PERO TU ERES EL MISMO, Y TUS AÑOS NO TENDRAN FIN.

13 Pero, ¿a cuál de los ángeles ha dicho jamás: SIENTATE A MI DIESTRA HASTA QUE PONGA A TUS ENEMIGOS POR ESTRADO DE TUS PIES?

14 ¿No son todos ellos espíritus ministradores, enviados para servir por causa de los que heredarán la salvación?

1 Going through a long line of prophets, God has been addressing our ancestors in different ways for centuries.

2 Recently he spoke to us directly through his Son. By his Son, God created the world in the beginning, and it will all belong to the Son at the end.

3 This Son perfectly mirrors God, and is stamped with God's nature. He holds everything together by what he says - powerful words! The Son Is Higher than Angels

4 far higher than any angel in rank and rule.

5 Did God ever say to an angel, "You're my Son; today I celebrate you"? Or, "I'm his Father, he's my Son"?

6 When he presents his honored Son to the world, he says, "All angels must worship him."

7 Regarding angels he says, The messengers are winds, the servants are tongues of fire.

8 But he says to the Son, You're God, and on the throne for good; your rule makes everything right.

9 You love it when things are right; you hate it when things are wrong. That is why God, your God, poured fragrant oil on your head, Marking you out as king, far above your dear companions.

10 And again to the Son, You, Master, started it all, laid earth's foundations, then crafted the stars in the sky.

11 Earth and sky will wear out, but not you; they become threadbare like an old coat;

12 You'll fold them up like a worn-out cloak, and lay them away on the shelf. But you'll stay the same, year after year; you'll never fade, you'll never wear out.

13 And did he ever say anything like this to an angel? Sit alongside me here on my throne Until I make your enemies a stool for your feet.

14 Isn't it obvious that all angels are sent to help out with those lined up to receive salvation?
