1 Después de esto Pablo salió de Atenas y fue a Corinto.

After these things Paul went out of Athens, and came to Corinth.
2 Y se encontró con un judío que se llamaba Aquila, natural del Ponto, quien acababa de llegar de Italia con Priscila su mujer, pues Claudio había ordenado a todos los judíos que salieran de Roma. Fue a ellos,

And he found a man, a Jew, Aquila by name, of Pontus by kind, that late came from Italy, and Priscilla, his wife, for that Claudius commanded all Jews to depart from Rome; and he came to them.
3 y como él era del mismo oficio, se quedó con ellos y trabajaban juntos, pues el oficio de ellos era hacer tiendas.

And for that he was of the same craft, he dwelled with them, and wrought; and they were of ropemakers craft [soothly they were of tentmakers craft, that is, to make coverings to traveling men].
4 Y discutía en la sinagoga todos los días de reposo, y trataba de persuadir a judíos y a griegos.

And he disputed in the synagogue by each sabbath, putting among the name of the Lord Jesus; and he [softly] counseled Jews and Greeks.
5 Cuando Silas y Timoteo descendieron de Macedonia, Pablo se dedicaba por completo a la predicación de la palabra, testificando solemnemente a los judíos que Jesús era el Cristo.

And when Silas and Timothy came from Macedonia, Paul gave busyness to the word, and witnessed to the Jews, that Jesus is Christ.
6 Pero cuando ellos se le opusieron y blasfemaron, él sacudió sus ropas y les dijo: Vuestra sangre sea sobre vuestras cabezas; yo soy limpio; desde ahora me iré a los gentiles.

But when they gainsaid and blasphemed, he shook away his clothes [Forsooth when they against-said and blasphemed, he shook off his clothes], and said to them, Your blood be on your head; I shall be clean from henceforth, and I shall go to heathen men [I clean from henceforth, shall go to heathen men].
7 Y partiendo de allí, se fue a la casa de un hombre llamado Ticio Justo, que adoraba a Dios, cuya casa estaba junto a la sinagoga.

And he passed from thence, and entered into the house of a just man, Titus by name [by name Titus], that worshipped God, whose house was joined to the synagogue.
8 Y Crispo, el oficial de la sinagoga, creyó en el Señor con toda su casa, y muchos de los corintios, al oír, creían y eran bautizados.

And Crispus, prince of the synagogue, believed to the Lord, with all his house. And many of the Corinthians heard, and believed [And many of the Corinthians hearing believed], and were christened.
9 Y por medio de una visión durante la noche, el Señor dijo a Pablo: No temas, sigue hablando y no calles;

And the Lord said by night to Paul by a vision, Do not thou dread, but speak, and be not still;
10 porque yo estoy contigo, y nadie te atacará para hacerte daño, porque yo tengo mucho pueblo en esta ciudad.

for I am with thee, and no man shall be put to thee to harm thee, for much people is to me in this city.
11 Y se quedó allí un año y seis meses, enseñando la palabra de Dios entre ellos.

And he dwelled there a year and six months, teaching among them the word of God.
12 Pero siendo Galión procónsul de Acaya, los judíos se levantaron a una contra Pablo y lo trajeron ante el tribunal,

But when Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, [the] Jews rose up [rised up] with one will against Paul, and led him to the doom,
13 diciendo: Este persuade a los hombres a que adoren a Dios en forma contraria a la ley.

and said [saying], Against the law this counseleth men to worship God.
14 Y cuando Pablo iba a hablar, Galión dijo a los judíos: Si fuera cuestión de una injusticia o de un crimen depravado, oh judíos, yo os toleraría, como sería razonable.

And when Paul began to open his mouth, Gallio said to the Jews, If there were any wicked thing, either evil trespass, ye Jews, rightly I should suffer you; [+Soothly when Paul began to open the mouth, Gallio said to Jews, Forsooth, if there were any wicked thing, or worst trespass, ye men Jews, rightly I should sustain you;]
15 Pero si son cuestiones de palabras y nombres, y de vuestra propia ley, allá vosotros; no estoy dispuesto a ser juez de estas cosas.

but if questions be of the word, and of names of your law, busy yourselves [ye yourselves see]; I will not be doomsman of these things.
16 Y los echó del tribunal.

And he drove them from the doom place.
17 Entonces todos ellos le echaron mano a Sóstenes, el oficial de la sinagoga, y lo golpeaban frente al tribunal, pero Galión no hacía caso de nada de esto. tercero

And all took Sosthenes, prince of the synagogue, and smote him before the doom place; and nothing of these was to care to Gallio [and nothing of these was to charge to Gallio].
18 Y Pablo, después de quedarse muchos días más, se despidió de los hermanos y se embarcó hacia Siria, y con él iban Priscila y Aquila. Y en Cencrea se hizo cortar el cabello, porque tenía hecho un voto.

And when Paul had abided many days, he said farewell to brethren, and by boat came to Syria. And Priscilla and Aquila came with him [saying farewell to brethren, by boat came to Syria, and with him, Priscilla and Aquila], which had clipped his head in Cenchrea; for he had a vow.
19 Llegaron a Efeso y los dejó allí. Y entrando él a la sinagoga, discutía con los judíos.

And he came to Ephesus, and there he left them; and he went into the synagogue, and disputed with Jews.
20 Cuando le rogaron que se quedara más tiempo, no consintió,

And when they prayed, that he should dwell more time, he consented not,
21 sino que se despidió de ellos, diciendo: Volveré a vosotros otra vez, si Dios quiere. Y zarpó de Efeso.

but he made farewell to brethren, and said [and saying], [It behooveth me to make the solemn day coming at Jerusalem, and] again I shall turn again to you, if God will [God willing]; and he went forth from Ephesus.
22 Al desembarcar en Cesarea, subió a Jerusalén para saludar a la iglesia, y luego descendió a Antioquía.

And he came down to Caesarea, and he went up [and ascended up], and greeted the church, and came down to Antioch.
23 Y después de pasar allí algún tiempo, salió, recorriendo por orden la región de Galacia y de Frigia, fortaleciendo a todos los discípulos.

And when he had dwelled there somewhat of time, he went forth, walking by row [walking by order] through the country of Galatia, and Phrygia, and confirmed all the disciples [confirming all the disciples].
24 Llegó entonces a Efeso un judío que se llamaba Apolos, natural de Alejandría, hombre elocuente, y que era poderoso en las Escrituras.

But a Jew, Apollos by name, a man of Alexandria of kind, a man eloquent, came to Ephesus; and he was mighty in scriptures. [Soothly some Jew, Apollos by name, a man of Alexandria of kind, a man eloquent, came to Ephesus, mighty in scriptures.]
25 Este había sido instruido en el camino del Señor, y siendo ferviente de espíritu, hablaba y enseñaba con exactitud las cosas referentes a Jesús, aunque sólo conocía el bautismo de Juan.

This man was taught the way of the Lord, and was fervent in spirit, and spake, and taught diligently those things that were of Jesus, and knew only the baptism of John [knowing only the baptism of John].
26 Y comenzó a hablar con denuedo en la sinagoga. Pero cuando Priscila y Aquila lo oyeron, lo llevaron aparte y le explicaron con mayor exactitud el camino de Dios.

And this man began to do trustily in the synagogue. Whom when Priscilla and Aquila heard, they took him [to], and more diligently expounded to him the way of the Lord.
27 Cuando él quiso pasar a Acaya, los hermanos lo animaron, y escribieron a los discípulos que lo recibieran; y cuando llegó, ayudó mucho a los que por la gracia habían creído,

And when he would go to Achaia, brethren excited [Soothly when he would go to Achaia, brethren admonished, or counseled], and wrote to the disciples, that they should receive him; which when he came, gave much to them that believed.
28 porque refutaba vigorosamente en público a los judíos, demostrando por las Escrituras que Jesús era el Cristo.

For he greatly overcame Jews, and showed openly by scriptures [showing openly by scriptures], that Jesus is Christ.
