Then Job replied:
2 «¡Tú sí que ayudas al débil!¡Tú sí que salvas al que no tiene fuerza!

“How you have helped the powerless! How you have saved the arm that is feeble!
3 ¡Qué consejos sabes dar al ignorante!¡Qué gran discernimiento has demostrado!

What advice you have offered to one without wisdom! And what great insight you have displayed!
4 ¿Quién te ayudó a pronunciar tal discurso?¿Qué espíritu ha hablado por tu boca?»

Who has helped you utter these words? And whose spirit spoke from your mouth?
5 «Un estremecimiento invade a los muertos,a los que habitan debajo de las aguas.

“The dead are in deep anguish, those beneath the waters and all that live in them.
6 Ante Dios, queda el sepulcro al descubierto;nada hay que oculte a este destructor.

The realm of the dead is naked before God; Destruction lies uncovered.
7 Dios extiende el cielo sobre el vacío;sobre la nada tiene suspendida la tierra.

He spreads out the northern skies over empty space; he suspends the earth over nothing.
8 En sus nubes envuelve las aguas,pero las nubes no se revientan con su peso.

He wraps up the waters in his clouds, yet the clouds do not burst under their weight.
9 Cubre la faz de la luna llenaal extender sobre ella sus nubes.

He covers the face of the full moon, spreading his clouds over it.
10 Dibuja el horizonte sobre la faz de las aguaspara dividir la luz de las tinieblas.

He marks out the horizon on the face of the waters for a boundary between light and darkness.
11 Aterrados por su reprensión,tiemblan los pilares de los cielos.

The pillars of the heavens quake, aghast at his rebuke.
12 Con un soplo suyo se despejan los cielos;con su poder Dios agita el mar.Con su sabiduría descuartizó a Rahab;con su mano ensartó a la serpiente escurridiza.

By his power he churned up the sea; by his wisdom he cut Rahab to pieces.
14 ¡Y esto es solo una muestra de sus obras,un murmullo que logramos escuchar!¿Quién podrá comprender su trueno poderoso?»

And these are but the outer fringe of his works; how faint the whisper we hear of him! Who then can understand the thunder of his power?”
