1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
1 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
2 Thus shalt thou say to the children of Israel: If any man of the children Israel, or of the strangers that dwell in Israel, give of his seed to the idol Moloch, dying let him die. The people of the land shall stone him.
2 Say further to the people of Israel: Any of the people of Israel, or of the aliens who reside in Israel, who give any of their offspring to Molech shall be put to death; the people of the land shall stone them to death.
3 And I will set my face against him: and I will cut him off from the midst of his people, because he hath given of his seed to Moloch, and hath defiled my sanctuary, and profaned my holy name.
3 I myself will set my face against them, and will cut them off from the people, because they have given of their offspring to Molech, defiling my sanctuary and profaning my holy name.
4 And if the people of the land neglecting, and as it were little regarding my commandment, let alone the man that hath given of his seed to Moloch, and will not kill him:
4 And if the people of the land should ever close their eyes to them, when they give of their offspring to Molech, and do not put them to death,
5 I will set my face against that man, and his kindred, and will cut off both him and all that consented with him, to commit fornication with Moloch, out of the midst of their people.
5 I myself will set my face against them and against their family, and will cut them off from among their people, them and all who follow them in prostituting themselves to Molech.
6 The soul that shall go aside after magicians, and soothsayers, and shall commit fornication with them: I will set my face against that soul, and destroy it out of the midst of its people.
6 If any turn to mediums and wizards, prostituting themselves to them, I will set my face against them, and will cut them off from the people.
7 Sanctify yourselves, and be ye holy: because I am the Lord your God.
7 Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy; for I am the Lord your God.
8 Keep my precepts, and do them. I am the Lord that sanctify you.
8 Keep my statutes, and observe them; I am the Lord; I sanctify you.
9 He that curseth his father, or mother, dying let him die. He hath cursed his father, and mother: let his blood be upon him.
9 All who curse father or mother shall be put to death; having cursed father or mother, their blood is upon them.
10 If any man commit adultery with the wife of another, and defile his neighbour’s wife: let them be put to death, both the adulterer and the adulteress.
10 If a man commits adultery with the wife of his neighbor, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall be put to death.
11 If a man lie with his stepmother, and discover the nakedness of his father, let them both be put to death: their blood be upon them.
11 The man who lies with his father's wife has uncovered his father's nakedness; both of them shall be put to death; their blood is upon them.
12 If any man lie with his daughter in law: let both die, because they have done a heinous crime. Their blood be upon them.
12 If a man lies with his daughter-in-law, both of them shall be put to death; they have committed perversion, their blood is upon them.

13 If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall be put to death; their blood is upon them.
14 If any man after marrying the daughter, marry her mother, he hath done a heinous crime. He shall be burnt alive with them: neither shall so great an abomination remain in the midst of you.
14 If a man takes a wife and her mother also, it is depravity; they shall be burned to death, both he and they, that there may be no depravity among you.
15 He that shall copulate with any beast or cattle, dying let him die: the beast also ye shall kill.
15 If a man has sexual relations with an animal, he shall be put to death; and you shall kill the animal.

They shall be slain, in the sight of their people, because they have discovered one another’s nakedness. And they shall bear their iniquity.
17 If a man takes his sister, a daughter of his father or a daughter of his mother, and sees her nakedness, and she sees his nakedness, it is a disgrace, and they shall be cut off in the sight of their people; he has uncovered his sister's nakedness, he shall be subject to punishment.

22 Keep my laws and my judgments, and do them: lest the land into which you are to enter to dwell therein, vomit you also out.
22 You shall keep all my statutes and all my ordinances, and observe them, so that the land to which I bring you to settle in may not vomit you out.
23 Walk not after the laws of the nations, which I will cast out before you. For they have done all these things: and therefore I abhorred them.
23 You shall not follow the practices of the nation that I am driving out before you. Because they did all these things, I abhorred them.
24 But to you I say: Possess their land which I will give you for an inheritance, a land flowing with milk and honey. I am the Lord your God, who have separated you from other people.
24 But I have said to you: You shall inherit their land, and I will give it to you to possess, a land flowing with milk and honey. I am the Lord your God; I have separated you from the peoples.
25 Therefore do you also separate the clean beast from the unclean, and the clean fowl from the unclean. Defile not your souls with beasts, or birds, or any things that move on the earth, and which I have shewn you to be unclean:
25 You shall therefore make a distinction between the clean animal and the unclean, and between the unclean bird and the clean; you shall not bring abomination on yourselves by animal or by bird or by anything with which the ground teems, which I have set apart for you to hold unclean.
26 You shall be holy unto me, because I the Lord am holy: and I have separated you from other people, that you should be mine.
