Leviticus 3

RHE 1 And if his oblation be a sacrifice of peace offerings, and he will offer of the herd, whether male or female: he shall offer them without blemish before the Lord. NIV 1 “ ‘If your offering is a fellowship offering, and you offer an animal from the herd, whether male or female, you are to present before the LORD an animal without defect. RHE 2 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his victim, which shall be slain in the entry of the tabernacle of the testimony: and the sons of Aaron the priests shall pour the blood round about upon the altar. NIV 2 You are to lay your hand on the head of your offering and slaughter it at the entrance to the tent of meeting. Then Aaron’s sons the priests shall splash the blood against the sides of the altar. RHE 3 And they shall offer of the sacrifice of peace offerings, for an oblation to the Lord: the fat that covereth the entrails, and all the fat that is within, NIV 3 From the fellowship offering you are to bring a food offering to the LORD: the internal organs and all the fat that is connected to them, RHE 4 The two kidneys with the fat wherewith the flanks are covered, and the caul of the liver with the two little kidneys. NIV 4 both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the long lobe of the liver, which you will remove with the kidneys. RHE 5 And they shall burn them upon the altar, for a holocaust, putting fire under the wood: for an oblation of most sweet savour to the Lord. NIV 5 Then Aaron’s sons are to burn it on the altar on top of the burnt offering that is lying on the burning wood; it is a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the LORD. RHE 6 But if his oblation and the sacrifice of peace offering be of the flock, whether he offer male or female, they shall be without blemish. NIV 6 “ ‘If you offer an animal from the flock as a fellowship offering to the LORD, you are to offer a male or female without defect. RHE 7 If he offer a lamb before the Lord: NIV 7 If you offer a lamb, you are to present it before the LORD, RHE 8 He shall put his hand upon the head of the victim. And it shall be slain in the entry of the tabernacle of the testimony: and the sons of Aaron shall pour the blood thereof round about upon the altar. NIV 8 lay your hand on its head and slaughter it in front of the tent of meeting. Then Aaron’s sons shall splash its blood against the sides of the altar. RHE 9 And they shall offer of the victim of peace offerings, a sacrifice to the Lord: the fat and the whole rump, NIV 9 From the fellowship offering you are to bring a food offering to the LORD: its fat, the entire fat tail cut off close to the backbone, the internal organs and all the fat that is connected to them, RHE 10 With the kidneys, and the fat that covereth the belly and all the vitals and both the little kidneys, with the fat that is about the flanks, and the caul of the liver with the little kidneys. NIV 10 both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the long lobe of the liver, which you will remove with the kidneys. RHE 11 And the priest shall burn them upon the altar, for the food of the fire, and of the oblation of the Lord. NIV 11 The priest shall burn them on the altar as a food offering presented to the LORD. RHE 12 If his offering be a goat, and he offer it to the Lord: NIV 12 “ ‘If your offering is a goat, you are to present it before the LORD, RHE 13 He shall put his hand upon the head thereof: and shall immolate it in the entry of the tabernacle of the testimony. And the sons of Aaron shall pour the blood thereof round about upon the altar. NIV 13 lay your hand on its head and slaughter it in front of the tent of meeting. Then Aaron’s sons shall splash its blood against the sides of the altar. RHE 14 And they shall take of it for the food of the Lord’s fire, the fat that covereth the belly, and that covereth all the vital parts: NIV 14 From what you offer you are to present this food offering to the LORD: the internal organs and all the fat that is connected to them, RHE 15 The two little kidneys with the caul that is upon them which is by the flanks, and the fat of the liver with the little kidneys. NIV 15 both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the long lobe of the liver, which you will remove with the kidneys. RHE 16 And the priest shall burn them upon the altar, for the food of the fire, and of a most sweet savour. All the fat shall be the Lord’s. NIV 16 The priest shall burn them on the altar as a food offering, a pleasing aroma. All the fat is the LORD’s. RHE 17 By a perpetual law for your generations, and in all your habitations: neither blood nor fat shall you eat at all. NIV 17 “ ‘This is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live: You must not eat any fat or any blood.’ ”
