Psalm 20

KJVA 1 The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee; NIV 1 May the LORD answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you. KJVA 2 Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion; NIV 2 May he send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion. KJVA 3 Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah. NIV 3 May he remember all your sacrifices and accept your burnt offerings. KJVA 4 Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel. NIV 4 May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. KJVA 5 We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners : the LORD fulfil all thy petitions. NIV 5 May we shout for joy over your victory and lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the LORD grant all your requests. KJVA 6 Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand. NIV 6 Now this I know: The LORD gives victory to his anointed. He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of his right hand. KJVA 7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. NIV 7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. KJVA 8 They are brought down and fallen : but we are risen , and stand upright . NIV 8 They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm. KJVA 9 Save , LORD: let the king hear us when we call . NIV 9 LORD, give victory to the king! Answer us when we call!
