1 (110-1) I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; in the council of the just, and in the congregation.
1 Praise the LORD.I will extol the LORD with all my heart in the council of the upright and in the assembly.
2 (110-2) Great are the works of the Lord: sought out according to all his wills.
2 Great are the works of the LORD; they are pondered by all who delight in them.
3 (110-3) His work is praise and magnificence: and his justice continueth for ever and ever.
3 Glorious and majestic are his deeds, and his righteousness endures forever.
4 (110-4) He hath made a remembrance of his wonderful works, being a merciful and gracious Lord:
4 He has caused his wonders to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and compassionate.
5 (110-5) He hath given food to them that fear him. He will be mindful for ever of his covenant:
5 He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever.
6 (110-6) He will shew forth to his people the power of his works.
6 He has shown his people the power of his works, giving them the lands of other nations.
7 (110-7) That he may give them the inheritance of the Gentiles: the works of his hands are truth and judgment.
7 The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy.
8 (110-8) All his commandments are faithful: confirmed for ever and ever, made in truth and equity.
8 They are established for ever and ever, enacted in faithfulness and uprightness.
9 (110-9) He hath sent redemption to his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever. Holy and terrible is his name:
9 He provided redemption for his people; he ordained his covenant forever— holy and awesome is his name.
10 (110-10) The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. A good understanding to all that do it: his praise continueth for ever and ever.
10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.
