Psalm 130

NLT

CEB

1 From the depths of despair, O LORD, I call for your help.
1 I cry out to you from the depths, LORD—
2 Hear my cry, O Lord. Pay attention to my prayer.
2 my Lord, listen to my voice! Let your ears pay close attention to my request for mercy!
3 LORD, if you kept a record of our sins, who, O Lord, could ever survive?
3 If you kept track of sins, LORD— my Lord, who would stand a chance?
4 But you offer forgiveness, that we might learn to fear you.
4 But forgiveness is with you— that's why you are honored.
5 I am counting on the LORD ; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word.
5 I hope, LORD. My whole being hopes, and I wait for God's promise.
6 I long for the Lord more than sentries long for the dawn, yes, more than sentries long for the dawn.
6 My whole being waits for my Lord— more than the night watch waits for morning; yes, more than the night watch waits for morning!
7 O Israel, hope in the LORD ; for with the LORD there is unfailing love. His redemption overflows.
7 Israel, wait for the LORD! Because faithful love is with the LORD; because great redemption is with our God!
8 He himself will redeem Israel from every kind of sin.
8 He is the one who will redeem Israel from all its sin.
