Psalm 138

GNT

WEB

1 I thank you, Lord, with all my heart; I sing praise to you before the gods.
1 <<By David.>> I will give you thanks with my whole heart. Before the gods, I will sing praises to you.
2 I face your holy Temple, bow down, and praise your name because of your constant love and faithfulness, because you have shown that your name and your commands are supreme.
2 I will bow down toward your holy temple, And give thanks to your Name for your lovingkindness and for your truth; For you have exalted your Name and your Word above all.
3 You answered me when I called to you; with your strength you strengthened me.
3 In the day that I called, you answered me. You encouraged me with strength in my soul.
4 All the kings in the world will praise you, Lord, because they have heard your promises.
4 All the kings of the earth will give you thanks, Yahweh, For they have heard the words of your mouth.
5 They will sing about what you have done and about your great glory.
5 Yes, they will sing of the ways of Yahweh; For great is Yahweh's glory.
6 Even though you are so high above, you care for the lowly, and the proud cannot hide from you.
6 For though Yahweh is high, yet he looks after the lowly; But the proud, he knows from afar.
7 When I am surrounded by troubles, you keep me safe. You oppose my angry enemies and save me by your power.
7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you will revive me. You will stretch forth your hand against the wrath of my enemies. Your right hand will save me.
8 You will do everything you have promised; Lord, your love is eternal. Complete the work that you have begun.
8 Yahweh will fulfill that which concerns me; Your lovingkindness, Yahweh, endures forever. Don't forsake the works of your own hands.
