New Century Version NCV
The Complete Jewish Bible CJB
1 Lord, defend me because I have lived an innocent life. I have trusted the Lord and never doubted.
1
By David: Vindicate me, ADONAI, for I have lived a blameless life; unwaveringly I trust in ADONAI.
2 Lord, try me and test me; look closely into my heart and mind.
2
Examine me, ADONAI, test me, search my mind and heart.
3 I see your love, and I live by your truth.
3
For your grace is there before my eyes, and I live my life by your truth.
4 I do not spend time with liars, nor do I make friends with those who hide their sin.
4
I have not sat with worthless folks, I won't consort with hypocrites,
5 I hate the company of evil people, and I won't sit with the wicked.
5
I hate the company of evildoers, I will not sit with the wicked.
6 I wash my hands to show I am innocent, and I come to your altar, Lord.
6
I will wash my hands in innocence and walk around your altar, ADONAI,
7 I raise my voice in praise and tell of all the miracles you have done.
7
lifting my voice in thanks and proclaiming all your wonders.
8 Lord, I love the Temple where you live, where your glory is.
8
ADONAI, I love the house where you live, the place where your glory abides.
9 Do not kill me with those sinners or take my life with those murderers.
9
Don't include me with sinners or my life with the bloodthirsty.
10 Evil is in their hands, and they do wrong for money.
10
In their hands are evil schemes; their right hands are full of bribes.
11 But I have lived an innocent life, so save me and have mercy on me.
11
As for me, I will live a blameless life. Redeem me and show me favor.
12 I stand in a safe place. Lord, I praise you in the great meeting. Of David.
12
My feet are planted on level ground; in the assemblies I will bless ADONAI.
