Psalm 87

1 <Of the sons of Korah. A Psalm. A Song.> This house is resting on the holy mountain.

1 7 (Of the Bnei Korach. A mizmor. A shir) On the Harei Kodesh (Holy Mountain) stands His foundation.

2 The Lord has more love for the doors of Zion than for all the tents of Jacob.

2 Hashem loveth the sha’arei Tziyon more than all the mishkenot Ya’akov.

3 Noble things are said of you, O town of God. (Selah.)

3 Glorious things are spoken of thee, O Ir HaElohim. Selah.

4 Rahab and Babylon will be named among those who have knowledge of me; see, Philistia and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man had his birth there.

4 To them that know me, I will make mention of Rachav and Babylon; hinei, Philistia, and Tzor, with Ethiopia: this man was born there.

5 And of Zion it will be said, This or that man had his birth there; and the Most High will make her strong.

5 But of Tziyon it shall be said, This one and that one were born in her; and Elyon Himself shall establish it.

7 The players on instruments will be there, and the dancers will say, All my springs are in you.

7 The sharim (ones singing) as well as the cholelim (players on instruments) shall be there; all my fountains are in thee.
