1 Así que ahora, ninguna condenación hay para los que están en Cristo, Jesús, que no andan conforme a la carne, sino conforme al Espíritu

2 Porque la ley del Espíritu de vida en Cristo, Jesús, me ha librado de la ley del pecado y de la muerte

3 Porque lo que era imposible a la ley, por cuanto era débil por la carne, y por el pecado, Dios enviando a su Hijo en semejanza de carne de pecado condenó al pecado en la carne

4 para que la justicia de la ley fuera cumplida en nosotros, que no andamos conforme a la carne, sino conforme al Espíritu

5 Porque los que son conforme a la carne, las cosas que son de la carne saben; mas los que conforme al Espíritu, las cosas que son del Espíritu

6 Porque la prudencia de la carne <em>es</em> muerte; mas la prudencia del Espíritu, vida y paz

7 por cuanto la prudencia de la carne <em>es</em> enemistad contra Dios; porque no se sujeta a la ley de Dios, ni tampoco puede

8 Así que, los que son carnales no pueden agradar a Dios

9 Mas vosotros no sois en la carne, sino en el Espíritu, por cuanto el Espíritu de Dios mora en vosotros. Y si alguno no tiene el Espíritu de Cristo, el tal no es de él

10 Pero si Cristo está en vosotros, el cuerpo a la verdad es muerto a causa del pecado; mas el espíritu vive a causa de la justicia

11 Y si el Espíritu de aquel que levantó de los muertos a Jesús mora en vosotros, el que levantó a Jesús, el Cristo de los muertos, vivificará también vuestros cuerpos mortales por su Espíritu que mora en vosotros

12 Así que, hermanos, deudores somos, no a la carne, para que vivamos conforme a la carne

13 porque si viviereis conforme a la carne, moriréis; mas si por el Espíritu mortificáis las obras del cuerpo, viviréis

14 Porque todos los que son guiados por el Espíritu de Dios, los tales son hijos de Dios

15 Porque no habéis recibido el espíritu de servidumbre para estar (otra vez) en temor; mas habéis recibido el Espíritu de adopción (de hijos), por el cual clamamos, ¡Abba, Padre

16 Porque el mismo Espíritu da testimonio a nuestro espíritu que somos hijos de Dios

17 Y si hijos, también herederos; ciertamente de Dios, y coherederos con Cristo; si empero padecemos juntamente <em>con él</em>, para que juntamente <em>con él</em> seamos glorificados

18 Porque tengo por cierto que lo que en este tiempo se padece, no es de comparar con la gloria venidera que en nosotros ha de ser manifestada

19 Porque la esperanza <em>solícita</em> de las criaturas espera la manifestación de los hijos de Dios

20 Porque las criaturas sujetas fueron a vanidad, no de su voluntad, sino por causa del que las sujetó

21 con esperanza que también las mismas criaturas serán libradas de la servidumbre de corrupción en la libertad gloriosa de los hijos de Dios

22 Porque <em>ya</em> sabemos que todas las criaturas gimen (a una), y (a una) están de parto hasta ahora

23 Y no sólo ellas, sino también nosotros mismos, que tenemos las primicias del Espíritu, nosotros también gemimos dentro de nosotros mismos esperando la adopción, <em>es a saber</em>, la redención de nuestro cuerpo

24 Porque en esperanza somos salvos; pero la esperanza que se ve, no es esperanza; porque lo que alguno ve, no lo espera

25 Pues si lo que no vemos <em>lo</em> esperamos, por paciencia <em>lo</em> esperamos

26 Y asimismo también el Espíritu <em>nos</em> ayuda <em>en</em> nuestra flaqueza; porque orar como conviene, no <em>lo</em> sabemos; sino que el mismo Espíritu demanda por nosotros con gemidos indecibles

27 Mas el que escudriña los corazones, sabe qué es el deseo del Espíritu, que conforme a Dios, demanda por los santos

28 Y <em>ya</em> sabemos que a los que a Dios aman, todas las cosas les ayudan a bien, a los que conforme al Propósito son llamados (a ser santos)

29 Porque <em>a</em> los que antes conoció, también <em>les</em> señaló desde antes <em>el camino</em> para que fueran hechos conformes a la imagen de su Hijo, para que él sea el Primogénito entre muchos hermanos

30 Y a los que les señaló desde antes <em>el camino</em>, a éstos también llamó; y a los que llamó, a éstos también justificó; y a los que justificó, a éstos también glorificó

31 ¿Pues qué diremos a esto? Si Dios <em>es</em> por nosotros, ¿quién <em>será</em> contra nosotros

32 El que aun a su propio Hijo no escatimó, antes lo entregó por todos nosotros, ¿cómo no nos dará también con él todas las cosas

33 ¿Quién acusará a los escogidos de Dios? Dios <em>es</em> el que <em>los</em> justifica

34 ¿Quién es el que <em>los</em> condenará? Cristo, Jesús, <em>es</em> el que murió; más aun, el que también resucitó, quien además está a la diestra de Dios, el que también demanda por nosotros

35 ¿Quién nos apartará de la caridad de Cristo? ¿tribulación, o angustia, o persecución, o hambre, o desnudez, o peligro, o espada

36 (Como está escrito: Por causa de ti somos muertos todo el tiempo; somos estimados como ovejas de matadero.

37 Antes, en todas estas cosas somos más que vencedores por aquel que nos amó

38 Por lo cual estoy cierto que ni la muerte, ni la vida, ni ángeles, ni principados, ni potestades, ni lo presente, ni lo por venir

39 ni lo alto, ni lo bajo, ni ninguna criatura nos podrá apartar de la caridad de Dios, que es en Cristo, Jesús, Señor nuestro

1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,

2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.

3 For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh,

4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

5 Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.

6 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.

7 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.

8 Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.

9 You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.

10 But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness.

11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.

12 Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it.

13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.

14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.

15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”

16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.

17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

19 For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.

20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope

21 that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.

22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.

23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies.

24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have?

25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.

27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.

28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.

34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

36 As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,

39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
