1 Salmo di Davide DATE al Signore, o figliuoli de’ potenti, Date al Signore gloria e forza.

2 Date al Signore la gloria dovuta al suo Nome; Adorate il Signore nel magnifico santuario.

3 La voce del Signore è sopra le acque; L’Iddio di gloria tuona; Il Signore è sopra le grandi acque.

4 La voce del Signore è con potenza; La voce del Signore è con magnificenza.

5 La voce del Signore rompe i cedri; E il Signore spezza i cedri del Libano;

6 E li fa saltellar come un vitello; Il Libano stesso, e Sirion, come il figlio d’un liocorno.

7 La voce del Signore sparge, a guisa di schegge, fiamme di fuoco.

8 La voce del Signore fa tremare il deserto; Il Signore fa tremare il deserto di Cades.

9 La voce del Signore fa partorir le cerve, E sfronda le selve; Ma intanto ciascuna predica la sua gloria nel suo Tempio.

10 Il Signore nel diluvio siede; Anzi il Signore siede re in eterno.

11 Il Signore darà forza al suo popolo; Il Signore benedirà il suo popolo in pace.

1 Praise the Lord, you heavenly beings; praise his glory and power.

2 Praise the Lord's glorious name; bow down before the Holy One when he appears.

3 The voice of the Lord is heard on the seas; the glorious God thunders, and his voice echoes over the ocean.

4 The voice of the Lord is heard in all its might and majesty.

5 The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars, even the cedars of Lebanon.

6 He makes the mountains of Lebanon jump like calves and makes Mount Hermon leap like a young bull.

7 The voice of the Lord makes the lightning flash.

8 His voice makes the desert shake; he shakes the desert of Kadesh.

9 The Lord's voice shakes the oaks and strips the leaves from the trees while everyone in his Temple shouts, "Glory to God!"

10 The Lord rules over the deep waters; he rules as king forever.

11 The Lord gives strength to his people and blesses them with peace.
