1 Salmo di Davide, da rammemorare; dato al capo de’ Musici O DIO, affrettati a liberarmi; O Signore, affrettati in mio aiuto.

Hasten, O God, to save me; come quickly, LORD, to help me.
2 Quelli che cercano l’anima mia sien confusi e svergognati; Quelli che prendono piacere nel mio male voltin le spalle, E sieno svergognati.

May those who want to take my life be put to shame and confusion; may all who desire my ruin be turned back in disgrace.
3 Quelli che dicono: Eia, eia! Voltin le spalle, per ricompensa del vituperio che mi fanno.

May those who say to me, “Aha! Aha!” turn back because of their shame.
4 Rallegrinsi, e gioiscano in te Tutti quelli che ti cercano; E quelli che amano la tua salute Dicano del continuo: Magnificato sia Iddio.

But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who long for your saving help always say, “The LORD is great!”
5 Ora, quant’è a me, io son povero e bisognoso; O Dio, affrettati a venire a me; Tu sei il mio aiuto, ed il mio liberatore; O Signore, non tardare.

But as for me, I am poor and needy; come quickly to me, O God. You are my help and my deliverer; LORD, do not delay.
