1 Bendice, alma mía, al SEÑOR. SEÑOR, Dios mío, cuán grande eres; te has vestido de esplendor y de majestad,

2 cubriéndote de luz como con un manto, extendiendo los cielos como una cortina.

3 El es el que pone las vigas de sus altos aposentos en las aguas; el que hace de las nubes su carroza; el que anda sobre las alas del viento;

4 que hace de los vientos sus mensajeros, y de las llamas de fuego sus ministros.

5 El estableció la tierra sobre sus cimientos, para que jamás sea sacudida.

6 La cubriste con el abismo como con un vestido; las aguas estaban sobre los montes.

7 A tu reprensión huyeron; al sonido de tu trueno se precipitaron.

8 Se levantaron los montes, se hundieron los valles, al lugar que tú estableciste para ellos.

9 Pusiste un límite que no pueden cruzar, para que no vuelvan a cubrir la tierra.

10 El hace brotar manantiales en los valles, corren entre los montes;

11 dan de beber a todas las bestias del campo, los asnos monteses mitigan su sed.

12 Junto a ellos habitan las aves de los cielos, elevan sus trinos entre las ramas.

13 El riega los montes desde sus aposentos, del fruto de sus obras se sacia la tierra.

14 El hace brotar la hierba para el ganado, y las plantas para el servicio del hombre, para que él saque alimento de la tierra,

15 y vino que alegra el corazón del hombre, para que haga brillar con aceite su rostro, y alimento que fortalece el corazón del hombre.

16 Los árboles del SEÑOR se sacian, los cedros del Líbano que El plantó,

17 donde hacen sus nidos las aves, y la cigueña, cuya morada está en los cipreses.

18 Los montes altos son para las cabras monteses; las peñas son refugio para los tejones.

19 El hizo la luna para medir las estaciones; el sol conoce el lugar de su ocaso.

20 Tú ordenas la oscuridad y se hace de noche, en ella andan todas las bestias del bosque.

21 Rugen los leoncillos tras su presa, y buscan de Dios su comida.

22 Al salir el sol se esconden, y se echan en sus guaridas.

23 Sale el hombre a su trabajo, y a su labor hasta el atardecer.

24 ¡Cuán numerosas son tus obras, oh SEÑOR! Con sabiduría las has hecho todas; llena está la tierra de tus posesiones .

25 He allí el mar, grande y anchuroso, en el cual hay un hervidero innumerable de animales tanto pequeños como grandes.

26 Allí surcan las naves, y el Leviatán que hiciste para jugar en él.

27 Todos ellos esperan en ti, para que les des su comida a su tiempo.

28 Tú les das, ellos recogen; abres tu mano, se sacian de bienes.

29 Escondes tu rostro, se turban; les quitas el aliento, expiran, y vuelven al polvo.

30 Envías tu Espíritu, son creados, y renuevas la faz de la tierra.

31 ¡Sea para siempre la gloria del SEÑOR! ¡Alégrese el SEÑOR en sus obras!

32 El mira a la tierra, y ella tiembla; toca los montes, y humean.

33 Al SEÑOR cantaré mientras yo viva; cantaré alabanzas a mi Dios mientras yo exista.

34 Séale agradable mi meditación; yo me alegraré en el SEÑOR.

35 Sean consumidos de la tierra los pecadores, y los impíos dejen de ser. Bendice, alma mía, al SEÑOR. ¡Aleluya!

1 O my soul, bless God! God, my God, how great you are! beautifully, gloriously robed,

2 Dressed up in sunshine, and all heaven stretched out for your tent.

3 You built your palace on the ocean deeps, made a chariot out of clouds and took off on wind-wings.

4 You commandeered winds as messengers, appointed fire and flame as ambassadors.

5 You set earth on a firm foundation so that nothing can shake it, ever.

6 You blanketed earth with ocean, covered the mountains with deep waters;

7 Then you roared and the water ran away - your thunder crash put it to flight.

8 Mountains pushed up, valleys spread out in the places you assigned them.

9 You set boundaries between earth and sea; never again will earth be flooded.

10 You started the springs and rivers, sent them flowing among the hills.

11 All the wild animals now drink their fill, wild donkeys quench their thirst.

12 Along the riverbanks the birds build nests, ravens make their voices heard.

13 You water the mountains from your heavenly cisterns; earth is supplied with plenty of water.

14 You make grass grow for the livestock, hay for the animals that plow the ground. Oh yes, God brings grain from the land,

15 wine to make people happy, Their faces glowing with health, a people well-fed and hearty.

16 God's trees are well-watered - the Lebanon cedars he planted.

17 Birds build their nests in those trees; look - the stork at home in the treetop.

18 Mountain goats climb about the cliffs; badgers burrow among the rocks.

19 The moon keeps track of the seasons, the sun is in charge of each day.

20 When it's dark and night takes over, all the forest creatures come out.

21 The young lions roar for their prey, clamoring to God for their supper.

22 When the sun comes up, they vanish, lazily stretched out in their dens.

23 Meanwhile, men and women go out to work, busy at their jobs until evening.

24 What a wildly wonderful world, God! You made it all, with Wisdom at your side, made earth overflow with your wonderful creations.

25 Oh, look - the deep, wide sea, brimming with fish past counting, sardines and sharks and salmon.

26 Ships plow those waters, and Leviathan, your pet dragon, romps in them.

27 All the creatures look expectantly to you to give them their meals on time.

28 You come, and they gather around; you open your hand and they eat from it.

29 If you turned your back, they'd die in a minute - Take back your Spirit and they die, revert to original mud;

30 Send out your Spirit and they spring to life - the whole countryside in bloom and blossom.

31 The glory of God - let it last forever! Let God enjoy his creation!

32 He takes one look at earth and triggers an earthquake, points a finger at the mountains, and volcanoes erupt.

33 Oh, let me sing to God all my life long, sing hymns to my God as long as I live!

34 Oh, let my song please him; I'm so pleased to be singing to God.

35 But clear the ground of sinners - no more godless men and women! O my soul, bless God!
