3 Do nascente ao poente,seja louvado o nome do SENHOR!

3 From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the LORD is to be praised.

4 O SENHOR está exaltado acima de todas as nações;e acima dos céus está a sua glória.

4 The LORD is exalted over all the nations, his glory above the heavens.

5 Quem é como o SENHOR, o nosso Deus,que reina em seu trono nas alturas,

5 Who is like the LORD our God, the One who sits enthroned on high,

6 mas se inclina para contemplaro que acontece nos céus e na terra?

6 who stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth?

7 Ele levanta do pó o necessitadoe ergue do lixo o pobre,

7 He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap;

8 para fazê-los sentar-se com príncipes,com os príncipes do seu povo.

8 he seats them with princes, with the princes of his people.

9 Dá um lar à estéril,e dela faz uma feliz mãe de filhos.Aleluia!

9 He settles the childless woman in her home as a happy mother of children. Praise the LORD.
