1 Eu amo o SENHOR, porque ele me ouviuquando lhe fiz a minha súplica.

1 I love the LORD, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy.

2 Ele inclinou os seus ouvidos para mim;eu o invocarei toda a minha vida.

2 Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live.

3 As cordas da morte me envolveram,as angústias do Sheol vieram sobre mim;aflição e tristeza me dominaram.

3 The cords of death entangled me, the anguish of the grave came over me; I was overcome by distress and sorrow.

4 Então clamei pelo nome do SENHOR:Livra-me, SENHOR!

4 Then I called on the name of the LORD: “LORD, save me!”

5 O SENHOR é misericordioso e justo;o nosso Deus é compassivo.

5 The LORD is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion.

6 O SENHOR protege os simples;quando eu já estava sem forças, ele me salvou.

6 The LORD protects the unwary; when I was brought low, he saved me.

7 Retorne ao seu descanso, ó minha alma,porque o SENHOR tem sido bom para você!

7 Return to your rest, my soul, for the LORD has been good to you.

8 Pois tu me livraste da morte,livraste os meus olhos das lágrimase os meus pés de tropeçar,

8 For you, LORD, have delivered me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling,

9 para que eu pudesse andar diante dona terra dos viventes.

9 that I may walk before the LORDin the land of the living.

10 Eu cri, ainda que tenha dito:Estou muito aflito.

10 I trusted in the LORD when I said, “I am greatly afflicted”;

11 Em pânico eu disse:Ninguém merece confiança.

11 in my alarm I said, “Everyone is a liar.”

12 Como posso retribuir aotoda a sua bondade para comigo?

12 What shall I return to the LORDfor all his goodness to me?

13 Erguerei o cálice da salvaçãoe invocarei o nome do SENHOR.

13 I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the LORD.

14 Cumprirei para com o SENHOR os meus votos,na presença de todo o seu povo.

14 I will fulfill my vows to the LORDin the presence of all his people.

15 O SENHOR vê com pesara morte de seus fiéis.

15 Precious in the sight of the LORDis the death of his faithful servants.

16 SENHOR, sou teu servo,Sim, sou teu servo, filho da tua serva;livraste-me das minhas correntes.

16 Truly I am your servant, LORD; I serve you just as my mother did; you have freed me from my chains.

17 Oferecerei a ti um sacrifício de gratidãoe invocarei o nome do SENHOR.

17 I will sacrifice a thank offering to you and call on the name of the LORD.

18 Cumprirei para com o SENHOR os meus votos,na presença de todo o seu povo,

18 I will fulfill my vows to the LORDin the presence of all his people,

19 nos pátios da casa do SENHOR,no seu interior, ó Jerusalém!Aleluia!
