1 Deus é o nosso refúgio e a nossa fortaleza,auxílio sempre presente na adversidade.

1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

2 Por isso não temeremos, ainda que a terra tremae os montes afundem no coração do mar,

2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,

3 ainda que estrondem as suas águas turbulentase os montes sejam sacudidos pela sua fúria.

3 though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.

4 Há um rio cujos canais alegram a cidade de Deus,o Santo Lugar onde habita o Altíssimo.

4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.

5 Deus nela está! Não será abalada!Deus vem em seu auxílio desde o romper da manhã.

5 God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.

6 Nações se agitam, reinos se abalam;ele ergue a voz, e a terra se derrete.

6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts.

7 O SENHOR dos Exércitos está conosco;o Deus de Jacó é a nossa torre segura.

7 The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

8 Venham! Vejam as obras do SENHOR,seus feitos estarrecedores na terra.

8 Come and see what the LORD has done, the desolations he has brought on the earth.

9 Ele dá fim às guerras até os confins da terra;quebra o arco e despedaça a lança;destrói os escudos com fogo.

9 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields with fire.

10 “Parem de lutar! Saibam que eu sou Deus!Serei exaltado entre as nações,serei exaltado na terra”.

10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

11 O SENHOR dos Exércitos está conosco;o Deus de Jacó é a nossa torre segura.
